Description: It's about time...

Disclaimer: This show is airing on Adult Swim...and there's more than enough reason so if you're a kiddie...consider this your warning. This show is pretty messed up in the head. ;)
After waiting quite some time and pretty much avoiding anything past the 1st issue of the manga like it's the plague I've finally been rewarded with the AS premiere of Death Note. I was planning just tp buy the DVDs on this one, but after checking out the 1st episode(which can be found on the AS Site if you missed it) I've decided that the dub isn't bad so I'll just watch it. My only complaint is the scene where they're in what appears to be an English Theology Class...which parts of get lost in the dub but it's a small portion.
For those of you who haven't heard about this show here's the very very simplified overview. A demon 'accidently' loses his Death Note(notebook) in the human world and an honor student finds it. Whoever's name you write in the book....buys the farm. Ok, there's the premise. If you want more...watch the show. =D

Very nice show. Just got done with the 1st episode. What I love most of this show is he gets to point after 5 days where he has this massive amount of righteous insanity. He believes himself to be a god with the book. Very nice indeed.

It's a pretty good show, not the usual sci-fi/fantasy type like I'm use to watching, but it's different. But with a name like that, I'm surprise they let it go on air, even on Adult Swim. The people by standards & practices, they're usually pretty uptight, though they have been easy off on anime, because the package where it gets air, time, & in concern of "censoring the artist", but it's still limited.

I'm intentionally watching it on CN because my wife is into it. I could have finished it a looong time ago if I really wanted to but it's nice to get her to watch an anime. :angelic:

Its alright, but does the hero and villian have to be so emo? Too shojo bait for me to finish watching..

There's no such thing as emo...it's just goth kids who wine more and have less fashion sense. I refuse to recognize this as a new genre or culture. ;)

Gotta love Light/Raito though. He has ambition and the show wouldn't be as interesting if it wasn't for his master plan.
