Ok, we're ready to roll now. Here's the breakdown of what we need to get accomplished.

- Each person needs 4 solid decks.
- Each person needs to reply to this post stating that they have their decks completed and they can get into this forum.
- Once we're all ready we'll have our 1st tournie.

I've been in PMs for a lil over a week with Naruko's Son about a head to head with The C.V. He pretty much knows the setup and the rules that this tournie will operate under. Here's the basics so you know what to expect.

The Harbingers vs. The C.V.

Type: Team vs. Team
Style: Gauntlet Style
Scoring: +2 per win -1 per loss. Team Tabulation. Grand Champion Declaration.
Timeframe: Open Ended. The tournie will begin on a certain date and conclude when all matches have been played.

Definition of Terms

-Gauntlet Style: Each match will consist of 4 games. Participants MUST use each of their 4 decks. Deck Cloning is not allowed, meaning you cannot play 4 identical decks.

-Team Tabulation: When the tournie is concluded (all matches played) scores will be counted and added up to make a score for each team. The team with the most points will be declared the winner. In the event of a Team Tie both scores will be erased and each team will select a champion to represent them. The Champions will play an additional Gauntlet and their scores will determine the outcome.

-Grand Champion Declaration: At the end of the tournie the single person with the highest score will be declared the Tournament Grand Champion. Note: It is entirely possible for the Tournament Grand Champion to not be a member of the tournie winning team.

Suggestion: Get your people ready and make sure you have all 5 members (as I recall one of your members is banned from the forums so you might want to work something out like a substitute or something). I'm getting my people ready now. When we're both ready we'll start the tournie. :D

I should have most of them ready by tommorow and just because he's banned doesnt mean he cant play gtoons.Who's your ppl anyway.

Actually, these are the Cartoon Orbit: The Complete Guide Clans....so part of being a member of one of the clans on here is kinda being a member on these boards. I'll have to get more precise confirmation from a mod, but I'm pretty much guessing that if you're banned from these boards then you lose all privilages associated with these boards which would include the ability to participate in Cartoon Orbit: The Complete Guide Events...of which this tournie would be considered.

Oh, and I just tested the edit feature on this post. Mine still works. No idea why yours would not work.

(and dont think you know which decks you will be playing against, i am changing the order they are in for those of you who remember which deck i keep in which spot :angelic: )

I don't think you can see what letter deck you are playing agianst anymore.

Yeah, when it goes to the cut screen the Gtoon Bar next to your name lists the Deck Letter so if your opponant plays Deck D, B, and A...then you know the last game they are using C. It doesn't tell you what that deck is, perchance, but it allows you to keep track and make sure both participants are following the rlues of the gauntlet. ;)

yep, and some people might know which decks i keep in certain slots. but ima change it up on em :ninja: :lol:

My brother put our whole clan together and made the most effort to set a tourny up... and he cant even play... thats wrong... just plain wrong...

The following is pure speculation until the higher powers give their decision on the matter...

Hercule Kai Recoome9: 4 vs. 5 will not work for a point based tournie system. In the event that one of your members is inelligable to participate in this tournie for reasons previously discussed then a suitable replacement/substitution/whatever will need to be found. It is my intent to handle all tournies and such that The Harbingers are involved in as fairly as possible.

Naruko's Son: As for the elligability of your brother I have no say in that matter. We're all members and that is something for the Mods who run this forum for us to decide. As for your comment about "the most effort to set a tourny up" I believe you are seriously downplaying your own efforts and my efforts as well in this process. I will admit he opened the dialogue to begin the process, but you and I have done our share of work to make this happen also.

Everyone: Until such time as an official decision is made I simply suggest that all participants ready their decks for play. I would also suggest that The C.V. find a standby just in case they end up needing one. Better safe than sorry. When everything is resolved and everyone is ready we will begin this tournie. Until then all we can really do is wait and prepare.

well shadow cant play either, therefore we need a 5th also. apparently they somehow recruited johnnyfear. not in the place of gtoons, but rather in hte place of wulfhunter.

Time to get this Clan V. Clan tournie underway. What I need now (from my members) is confirmation that they have 4 solid decks assembled. Hey, I m gettin my faster internet somewhere between Wednesday, and Friday or Saturday.

There is currently no official start date to this tournie. Multiple complications, on both sides, have made this basically a working idea that we intend to happen at some point in the near future. We will choose a start time that best suits that of the members of both groups. Don't worry, it'll all work out. ;)
