Title: Tom and Jerry

So while I was off last week, I watched some Tom and Jerry. I immediatley noticed something. In the older Tom and Jerry cartoons there was this stereotypical black maid.

Well Cartoon Network recast her voice. She now doesn't talk in slang and seem "uneducated". She has a very educated Maya Angelou type of voice and purosely overpornounces the words.

See wher our PC world is heading.

Who says a maid had to be uneducated?

Though you have to wonder how a lady like that wound up with a job of being a maid.

They recast the voice? That's what they did with Robot Jones

It was just the way the old voice sounded that 1920's "Yes Massa" type of stereotype.
