Malach - June 3, 2004 02:11 PM (GMT)
I am going to Utica, NY for another out of state wedding this weekend. I will probably be offline from Friday through Sunday. Please behave. I do not want to reign destruction down when I come back.

See you guys.

Malach - June 7, 2004 02:53 PM (GMT)
OK here's the story. It is about a 5 1/2 hour drive to Utica from where I live. We left Friday morning, the wedding was on Saturday. This whole time my wife Grandmother (92) had been very sick and in and out of the Hospital. She has just goen back in earlier in the week with Heart and Kidney Failure. We got there and immediatley found out through my wife grandfather that she had taken a turn for the worse and requested to not be hooked up to machines anymore and to die in peace, which the Drs. had done that morning. She knew the wedding was this weekend, and that the whole family would be up. The Doc's expected her to die that morning. She told Grampa, that she would live long enough to see all her grandchildren, and not ruin the wedding. We saw her the morning of the wedding. She got to see her us all and her only great-grandchildren (Our kids). She was in really bad shape, but whe she saw my kids she came right out of the pain to give them kisses, and say goodbye.

We went to the wedding and had a really good time. The next morning, her last requst was to have everyone at her bedside as she died. She then went into a somewhat vegeative state, her only reaction a smile when my 1 year old daughter kissed her goodbye for the last time. A priest came in and gave her Last Rites Immediatley after that, she stopped breathing, and her heart stopped 5 minutes later. She died very peacefully, surround by her huge family, in this little hospital room.

It was very sad, awe-inspiring, and beautiful all at the same time.

^o^ Sherry ^o^ - June 7, 2004 03:13 PM (GMT)
welcome back

I consolidate with you, I also had an experience with unploging the life machine (in our case was for a very very close friend's 2 years old child :(
