Introduction
Welcome to the one of a kind TCG Scavenger Hunt, hosted by me, elmopalooza. This topic will consist of the official rules, guidelines, and prizes. Prizes may be updated from today to when the contest starts, which is a good thing. :lol: Okay, below are the rules and guidelines, and below that are the directions on how to play, and below that are the Czone prizes. And below that, lol, is the sign up list. 30 people are eligible to play, so sign up quick. The contest will start on Friday, October 28, 2005. And yes, this was approved by a mod, Malach. ;)

Rules And Guidelines
Before you sign up, you must acknowledge these simple rules:
1. To sign up, you must have been posting at TCG for quite some time.
2. During play, all members will play with good-sportsmanship and will not start an argument because they did not get an answer correct.
3. You may only guess once for each posted question, so make sure it is the answer you want.

How To Play
Okay, I am not sure if this kind of contest has been done before, so please read and follow these directions carefully. First, as already stated, only 30 members can play. When you sign up, your username will be posted in a slot from 1 to 30, depending on when you posted. Please please please do not post "Can I please join oh cmon" during gameplay. Any other spam is not permitted as well.

Next are the basics. To start off, there will be posted Trivia Boards about 5 minutes before the game starts. There will be 4 categorys to choose from, each consisting of 6 question blocks (no stated on the trivia board) each with thier own point value, ranging from 10 to 60 points. There will be different categorys for each round, but there will be the same point values for the questions in the first, second, and third rounds. There are 4 rounds in total. In the 1st round, each member (30 total) are all eligible for gameplay. Round 1 ends when all the questions for each category have been asked. Out of those 30 people, 20 people with the highest scores will move on. In the second round, once again, all the questions in each category have to have been asked in order for the round to end. So, in the 2nd round, 10 people with the highest scores will move on. And in the 3rd round, 5 people with the highest scores will move on. After the third round ends, only 2 people with the highest scores will move on. In the final round, I will ask 3 questions, that are all realted to Cartoon Orbit. The person who gets the best out of the 3 questions is the winner and will recieve the prizes. And another thing, if there are any ties of scores, instead of making the ties have questions of thier own, I decided it would be better to just have who goes on to the next round in a tie by where the first letter of thier name is located in the alphabet. For instance, if I, elmopalooza, tied with bobthebuilder, then bobthebuilder would go on to the next round since his username letter comes first in the alphabet. Okay, that is mostly the basics. I know it is a lot to read, but please read them, thanks.

The Questions
Alright, this is where the scavenger hunt piece comes into play. Instead of just posting questions that correspond to the category chosen by the member, this is what will happen. Okay, so first I will choose a member at random to select the first question. That member will select the category and the point value. I will then proceed to post a message in ANY of the forums here at TCG will a clue to answering the question. There are 3 clues that will be posted in different forums that help to answer the question. When I post the first clue, I will then post a message after that member has chosen (in the same topic, The TCG Scavenger Hunt Contest topic) Let the scavenger hunt begin! Letting it be known to the people playing that I have posted the first clue. I will then again proceed to post the next 2 clues in different forums. Each clue will be entitled #1P6C1 or something. Okay, now most of you will not know what that means, so I will explain it:

#1P6C1

#1 - Clue number

P - Point value, followed by the number, in which:

1 = 10
2 = 20
3 = 30
4 = 40
5 = 50
6 = 60

C - Category number, followed by a number, the category number will be shown on the trivia board.

Okay, now you know how to de-code the clue topic title. So now, when you see that clue, click on it and go to the post. Read the clue and try to figure out what the answer is from there. If you don't know it, try and find the next clue. I will try as hard as I can to post each clue quickly in different forums, so please be patient. If you figure out the answer, post the answer (spelled correctly of course) in The TCG Scavenger Hunt Game topic. Alright, that is pretty much it. It's elaborate, and it may be confusing, so if you think you will not be able to play, then it's ok, you don't have to sign up.

The Prizes
The time you have been waiting for, the prizes! Okay, they are not much, but the contest isn't all about the prizes, it's about having fun while playing. Remember, prizes MIGHT be added to.
