Title: My trip
Malach - April 19, 2004 01:25 AM (GMT)
We'll let see. First off for Toyi, I stayed in a hotel in Timonium, and the wedding was at an outdoor chapel there. The reception was in Inner Harbor (not Bay), Baltimore. Fancy, but not the fanciest (that wold be the wedding i went to at the Rainbow Room in NYC).
11 hours to get there (lots of traffic in NYC and Delware Mem. Bridge). 8 hours to get back.
I hadn't been through NYC in about 6 months. As soon as them smell of he city hits you, it brings a lot of memories back.
Some impressions, I have not been down the NJ turpike since before 911. The Manhatten skyline is eerily different.
Northern New Jersery still smells, sorry.
Question: Do like 75% of the population of Maryland live in Condos/townhouses?

TOYI1SOCCER - April 19, 2004 01:33 AM (GMT)
Well you just got down to Baltimore that is a crowded city! Personaly I don't like baltimore...
No MD is not only condos and townhouses, is a lot less buildings and more green landscape and vry nice roads and signals.. :P
Did you like the wether? :angelic:

YEAHA! I pitched a one hit complete game. We won 12 to 0. I pitched 18 stikeouts, 1 walk. I also went 3-3 with one walk 3 RBI's. I felt better physically than I have in a while. It was like I was 18 again. Even had my fastball. Everything was working, curve, change-up, knuckle curve, slider, even threw a couple of knuckle balls. Arm feels great too.

Ok I ask you the question on your thread but you don't have to answer it now I read this. B)

Yeah I know what you mean. I saw the wtc fall and the clouds of smoke. I got us to it, but if you head around there when they still had pieces of the build up it would feel really weird. Now that they got rid of all the pieces it still feels werid.
Malach - April 20, 2004 01:27 PM (GMT)
I have been to Manhatten a number of times (had a number of gallery shows there) since 9/11, and saw ground zero. I can rememeber being 13 yeras old and standing at the base of the towers and looking straight up, til I almost fell over. I can remeber being on top, and the buildings swaying in the wind. But the most that it affected me was: I went ot a wedding 6 months ago at the Rainbow Room on the top of the NBC tower (High School friend married a NYC Socialite). Looking out at the skyline, ther is like a big missing piece. And this weekend driving down the pike for the first time since 9/11, that was strange. It was so clear, you could see Empire State from Co-op City, and halfway down the Pike but not the Towers.

u have a lot of pitches all i got is a 4 seam fastball, change up,2 seam fast ball, and my cutter
Malach - April 21, 2004 08:22 PM (GMT)
Thats all you need, the cutter is a nasty pitch. My best pitch is probably my reverse slider. I throw right handed, but I can make break back to the right. Shatter a ton of bats that way. I can throw a screwball too, but I don't use it that often, i can't control it too well.
ShadowTheUnknown - April 21, 2004 08:26 PM (GMT)
yea i like my cutter its been probly my best pitch 4 a couple years but i dont pitch that much any more i m usually a releiver/first baseman and sometimes outfield
Malach - April 21, 2004 08:29 PM (GMT)
That's OK for all my bravado from Monday, I pitched yesturday in releif and gave up the game to a 9th inning homer. Still batting .800 after two games though.
ShadowTheUnknown - April 21, 2004 08:33 PM (GMT)

We were still playing at around 8:00pm, it ws so dark I could hardly see the plate. This big dude had no problem seeing my hanging curve. Short fence too, only 315.
ShadowTheUnknown - April 21, 2004 08:38 PM (GMT)
315?ur rite that is short.and i would have problems pitchin after dark 2. actually, i probly couldnt even play in the dark
Malach - April 27, 2004 01:08 AM (GMT)
So it pitched again today. Let me set it up. Playing the champions for the last two years, the Fire and Police. I had rained all day, and was just clearing up for the game. By the end covered in water, mud, and clay. Third base was a swamp. Homeplate was a mud field. Won 6 - 1. Had 11 Stikeouts, went 3-4 (after three games my ave is like .785 - sign me up to help the Yanks offense) at the plate. Was really dirty. Had a really good time.
