With sadness in my heart I am afradi I must leave you for a year or so.
Due to a recent upcoming project I have to work with a whole team. However, they have no knowledge of C++ and thus I cannot continue my self education of this as long as this project is going on (because it is impossibleto convince the other teammembers to start learning it).
Therefore my 2 other options are java AWT/Swing or VB .NET.

I have a year experience with vb6 and I have seen more unresolved errors and flawes than I have with C++. So I dont even dare to imagine what it would be with the .NET version.
Therefore I chose Java since it is a more OO oriented language like C++ and since they have to learn it as we are all ordered to.
However, as this is a fine and pleasant C++ forum, I hereby wish to thank you for your excellent help, I will return however, in 9 months.
In the meantime, I am looking for a forum for Java (AWT and/or Swing) that is just as good as this one :)
