I have Windows XP currently on my computer and I was wondering if I would be able to install a separate hard drive with Linux as the platform and be able to switch between platforms when necessary. I have heard of it being done before with Win95 and WinXP but I am not sure with Linux. Also, what Linux distro would you guys recommend? Thanks for any help.
^_^
u can have linux and windows even on the same harddrive just have 2 partitions
and make sure u install winxp first and then linux and u'll get a nifty lilo boot menu
Well don't know about the distro ( Mandrake was easy to install it had stuff missing )
having it on seperate harddrives might be harder because each time you want to boot a different os you would have to change the boot order in your bios.
nope , lilo can boot from separate hd's as well as from separate partitions
