Here It says that you can harvest the Visual C++ Standard compiler from the .NET SDK. It interests me, but I don't have an NT based version of windows. -_-
Has anyone looked into this before? I'd like to use it if I can.

I've seen that also. Does it say that only NT based versions of Windows can use it?

Microsoft says that the .NET SDK is only compatible with 2000/XP/2003, but if I could figure out the enviroment variables and stuff like that, it should work on DOS-based OS'es too.
