ive made 2 games in c++. well one of them was a "desktop destroyer" thats not really a game more of a fun toy... and i made a pong game too. you can find them if you search around a bit in the creations forum :)
for books, id go to the local library and look. ive been using a book called "deitel & deitel c++ how to program 3rd edition" i got it off ebay. lots of great deals on programming books at ebay. the book i have has a price tag on it that says 76$ and i got it for 11$.
a tip- theres going to be a lot of times learning c++ when you just want to give up. when that happens just take a break and do something else, and then come back. ive found that my stubborness really helps a lot in programming, because sooner or later i always figure out what i thought id never be able to figure out.
