one of my irl freinds is a pro java programmer and i asked him what java is actually good for and he says that he designs complex stuff for servers, but it can also be used for cell phone games, web page games, appelets. i know u can make sorta an executable with it but you gotta have something like a runner for it.

yeah i write some java, it's more for web stuff, but then you do have to buy a stupid program to make it a .exe file which is really gay, if you don't like the way it is though just use C/C++ who cares.
