Hi there, if you go throught all the threads here. U will find one about the Compiler
Anyway here is the list.
1. Borland 5
2. Visual C++ (5,6,.NET)
3.Dev-C++ (But there has been a lot of discussion on This compiler some people like it and some don't )

I suggest u try Borland 5 its freely available on the Internet . Do a search and find out ok?
hope this helps

For a list of free one, try the FAQ! ;) (Do make sure to read the second page as well)

Then for non-free one, there's (not in any particular order and definatly not complete) VC++, Borland C++ Builder, Intel's, CodeWarrior, Comeau...

Dev-C++ is an IDE for one of the windows port of GCC, it's not a compiler in itself ;)

kind of offtopic but if you're gonna use MinGW and you don't like dev-c++ try MinGW Developer Studio

Anyway I still recommend MinGW. I would not buy BC5.5 because it is buggy (although the free commandline version is not bad if you know where the bugs are and work around them).
