Title: My Web Browser...

Danny - July 16, 2004 12:39 AM (GMT)
Hi guys, sorry I haven't been able to post for a while but it's for a good reason. I have made a web browser and proud of it :) I'll make the finished program avaliable for download at my site (when I finish the web browser).

Danny

C-Man - July 16, 2004 06:07 AM (GMT)
And it uses IE / Mozilla render or what ?

Consumed - July 16, 2004 09:33 AM (GMT)
I think it's a real browser. Let's wait and see.

Embrance - July 18, 2004 11:52 AM (GMT)
I bet hes using Browser Bob...
Its a browser creation utility.
I had made a web browser that zipped the pages and then you read them.Had some bugs but was working ok...

C-Man - July 18, 2004 12:36 PM (GMT)
Theres a browser creation tool ... ? What is the use of that

dr voodoo - July 18, 2004 02:43 PM (GMT)
I'm sure he hasn't made a browser from ground up.

I've made a prog which read HTML code but that already toke me a lot of time to get it to work bug free. Displaying the content of the code graphicly would even need a lot longer.

C-Man - July 18, 2004 03:00 PM (GMT)
Thats exactly what i'm saying

Embrance - July 18, 2004 05:10 PM (GMT)
Well the program i say its Quite nice!
Custom skinning and stuff!
Gotta see it!

C-Man - July 18, 2004 06:00 PM (GMT)
Sure why not ^_^

Wrong! I KINDA have. Wait and see. It took me ages and it has little-functionablility :)
I'm very busy. Just wait, and I'll finish it.

Degman - July 19, 2004 02:03 AM (GMT)
Erm...shouldn't this be in off topic? =P

C-Man - July 19, 2004 06:31 AM (GMT)
Hey i want to see the code . If you didn't make the render then it doesn't count that
you made it

Why? WIP would be better but certainly not OffTopic

I've already spoken to Consumed about this one, he knows about it.
I'm very busy. Just wait, and I'll finish it.

Still hard to beleave.

Anway did you test it on real websites or not? I've had lots of problems with constructions such as:
CODE
<test HrEf = http://www.blabla.com/index.php?url=http://www.evenmoreblabla.com      yes                             ha=&frac14:       dd="hello"

 common_site_error=&Icirc>

But I got them to work.

Embrance - July 19, 2004 12:27 PM (GMT)
Yes!I wan tto see it!Will ya share the code?At least the first realeses code?lol

ACK! I DID mean WIP. I must be in a serious lack of sleep mode.

Sorry for the mistake :P

C-Man - July 19, 2004 04:08 PM (GMT)

But I got them to work.

If it just render (X)HTML then I think it's possible he might have.

Creating a browser that render (X)HTML is difficult but entirely realm of do-able, but when you add in things like having to cater for non-correct (X)HTML (like in most website ), graceful degradation and all the other thing that a browser is suppose to render like CSS, Javascript, XML, XSL, MathML, SVG etc. then it get

Danny - July 19, 2004 11:49 PM (GMT)
Guys, would you just calm down. I will show you the browser but I need to finish it first. I might not release the code soon cause I gotta fix it all up (it's a bit hard to read  :)). Just relax pplz :)

MonkeyMan - July 19, 2004 11:51 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I am just wondering about the JavaScript.

Danny - July 20, 2004 12:00 AM (GMT)
You'll see the darn browser soon pplz, it's not THAT good. Geez, youz'll probably be dissapointed anyway

IDK bout that one, It'll be extreemly hard if I try to make it support javascript.

It'll be done soon pplz, I am very busy now, I can't rush it.

C-Man - July 20, 2004 05:39 AM (GMT)
Yeah sure ... :)

Embrance - July 21, 2004 01:24 PM (GMT)

Tell me to learn too!

C-Man - July 21, 2004 01:25 PM (GMT)

A web browser seems like allot of work, i think the toughest part is to get it to wokr on sites that have sloppy html...

Dragon - August 29, 2004 10:24 PM (GMT)
How much of it is done now?

c++ - September 4, 2004 04:50 PM (GMT)
approximatly what time will you realese a beta or something?

C-Man - September 4, 2004 05:20 PM (GMT)
He wount be , i can't tell u why tough

Danny - September 6, 2004 04:19 AM (GMT)
I can't release it, as C-Man said, but I will give you screenshots of what iv'e already made. I won't be finishing it though. Well, at least for a while. I might resume work on it later on (maybe a month or two :( ). I'll get the shots in soon.

c++ - September 6, 2004 04:43 AM (GMT)
were not perfectionist here (well I am defiantly not), we do not mine if you realese a beta even if it has bugs...

Dragon - September 6, 2004 05:54 AM (GMT)
It's hard for me to imagine a reason why you won't be able to release it, even if it's not finished.

fragspaz - November 6, 2004 04:44 AM (GMT)
what about a scrennie/snippet of your code, to see if your for real....
