i hear everyone talking about SDK's what are they and what do they do?

SDK stands for Software Development Kit. They are basically exactly that. Game companies might release an SDK for an old game so people can make things for it, some games might release SDK's to try to expand their online community. Open source projects usually have an SDKs too, as well as Linux and DirectX/OpenGL. They help the user make custom things for programs, making them more expandable. SDK's cannot be confused with user created utilities though. SDK's are made by the makers of the project.

just because im the admin doesnt mean i know any more or less than anyone else does. actually at the time the community was started i only had about a weeks experience. i fully agree with what Dragon said
