Title: Where's my Slit?

Dragon - January 21, 2004 03:09 AM (GMT)
I compiled and am using Fluxbox 0.1.14, and I can't see my slit! I recompiled the source and I still can't find the slit. Do I have to enable it or soemthing?

open kmix, and in teh right-lower corner of the screen, your slit will appear with the kmix icon

Does that only work with kmix or does it work with all KDE programs? I typed kmix in rxvt and sure enough the slit appeared (it was pretty small). I closed the slit and ran kmix again and the slit didn't appear again.

The slit is part of Fluxbox (window manager for X), and you can find information about the slit on the Fluxbox website (more specifically the documentation): http://fluxbox.sf.net.

as far as I know, it works with kscd, kmix, k3b
there may be more but I dont know.
I use fluxbox 0.9.7-r1
wich is a bit more advanced then yours :) (better slit, more stable and reappears and dissappears properly, has a special icon for gAIM and supports icons in your taskbar below)
note that I use stable versions :) (in case you were wondering)
I too had some slit probs in your version (kscd icon refused to dissappear)
