by the way did you hear pretty soon microsoft is no longer supporting windows 98? anyone else think that when a product is no longer supported by the creator it should be avalable freely for download? thats the whole abandonware philosophy is. i mean if you make something, and say your not going to support it, then it should be free. ya.... well i suppose my os(windows ME) will be the next to go unsupported not that i get a whole lot of help from them anyways.

The reason that 98 wont be supported anylonger is because of all the exploits that have been found, like the current AUTH40+++ bug that lets people kick 98 users off the web. Most of the exploits are only fixed in the newer versions on windows so they basically feel 98 is absolete.
