Chapter 1:Hong Kong
Syd is shocked. “What” she whispers softly, “I’ve been missing for months, and you thought I was dead.” Vaughn nodded slowly. “Syd I know this is hard to take but I missed you so much and I love you and we’ll work through this together.”
“Wait Vaughn what’s that ring doing on your finger.” Vaughn’s warm face all of a sudden froze, “exactly what was the last thing you remember” he asked gently.
“I…I…I remember I had a huge fight with Francie, killing her and then I collapsed. Did you marry someone else?”
“That fight was two years ago, you’ve only been missing for a couple of months. So you don’t remember our marriage or our daughter Laura?”
“WE HAD A KID AND GOT MARRIED!!!!!” She shouts. Silence falls upon the room. Her whole body is in a state of shock. Her mind is racing but so confused. The puzzled look on her face explained it all. “Look” Vaughn says interrupting the long moment of silence “we gotta go, CIA want’s you back ASAP. If you can’t remember any of this you must have been intensively conditioned. We’ll talk later, I promise.”

Chapter 2: In the Plane

As soon as they are seated, Syd started firing questions.
“Tell me about our daughter? Where was she born? When was she born? What’s her full name? Who’s taking care of her now? When did we get married? When were we engaged? Are you still working for the CIA? And how’s everybody, you know, like Dixon, Marshall, Will, Weiss, My Mum and Dad? And how about””

“Okay Syd take it easy” Vaughn says with a slight chuckle,
“Our daughter, Laura Amy Vaughn was born a couple of months ago. You’re parents are taking care of her. Don’t worry, I’ll get to them later. We got married on a beach a year after the fight with Francie. I’m a French Teacher now but everybody’s fine. Will’s in witness protection, Dixon’s the director of the CIA and Marshall’s a father now. You’re mother was pardoned by the CIA and you’re parents are together again. And Weiss……. well he’s still

Note to readers: Sorry I took so long but I have planned everything up to Chapter 10. In the next chapters some things happening in season 3 are incorperated in this fanfic.

Chapter 3: At the Airport

Sitting at Arrivals is Irina and Jack with baby Laura in Irina’s lap. Knowing Sydney was safe and alive was the greatest relief for them. Jack gazed upon the arrivals board, he knew they were early but he couldn’t wait to see his daughter again. His gaze fell upon Irina and little Laura, he smiled thinking of Irina carrying baby Sydney many years ago. The arrivals board shows the plane from Hong Kong had arrived, the one Sydney and Vaughn are on. As soon as they see the message they scramble just as Sydney and Vaughn arrived. Sydney holds her parents close for a moment and realizes how lucky she is. Vaughn takes Laura from Irina. “And has my little girl been good for grandma and grandpa” he asked Laura with a grin on his face. Syd takes a look at the small infant and suddenly has a flashback.
~~~~~FLASHBACK ONE~~~~~
She sees herself holding Laura in a nursery looking out the window. Vaughn enters holding a bouquet of red roses. He gives them to Sydney, takes Laura and says “Welcome Home Laura.”
~~~~~END FLASHBACK~~~~~
“Amnesia” Sydney murmurs to herself. She realizes she has amnesia. “Amnesia, amnesia” she murmurs again. “What“ Vaughn asked. “Oh nothing “ she replied but as she left the airport the word "Welcome Home Laura" rang through her head.

Chapter 4: Home Sweet Home
In the car, Syd is in the backseat playing with baby Laura. Vaughn was driving and he turned into a house. “Vaughn, this isn’t our house, what happened to my apartment?” Syd said. ”Yes it is you moved out of our apartment, into our new house but it burnt down. I’ll explain after you settle in.” Vaughn stepped out of the car and took Syd’s luggage in while carried little Laura in. When she entered, she stood in the hallway “so this is our home” she asked. Vaughn nodded. ”I like it” Syd replied with a smile. Later on when Syd and Vaughn were in bed, she asked ” how exactly did I die to you?” “Well” Vaughn replied “you died a couple of days after you came home from the hospital. The night before Laura was crying all night and you stayed up with her. So the day after I decided I’d take Laura out for the day while you relaxed. While you were sleeping a fire started and it burnt down most of the rooms apart from the nursery and the bathroom.” Vaughn gets up and goes to a chest of draws, pulling out a diamond ring. “Syd” he says ”you left your wedding ring in the bathroom. I thought you might like it back.” She thanks Vaughn and slips it on. Looking at the ring she has another flashback.
~~~~~FLASHBACK TWO~~~~~
On a gorgeous beach stands Vaughn dressed up with Weiss next to him. It was the day of the marriage. Walking towards Vaughn with her father by her side, she smiled overcome with joy. The closer she got the more nervous she was. Wearing a white halter neck dress made of silk which flowed as she walked closer a closer. Moments later she watched in pure happiness as Vaughn slipped the ring on her finger.

Still looking at it she then turns to Vaughn who had already fallen asleep. She kissed him on the cheek, smiled and fell asleep herself.

Chapter 5: Start of a New Day
The next morning, Syd awoke to the smell of bacon and eggs. She checked the time “seven o clock” she thought to herself “just enough time for a shower.” She knew she was going back to the CIA today. When she came out of the shower she relised she had nothing to wear. All her clothes were burnt in a fire she didn’t remember. At that moment Vaughn enters the room, kisses her good morning and said “I think you might want to wear this to work. “He passes her a business suit. “Yesterday your parents bought you some clothes until you had time to buy your own.”
Later when Sydney came down for breakfast, she looked stunning which left Vaughn breathless. “This is amazing” he thought to himself “how can she always look so beautiful and leave me breathless. Sydney interrupted his thoughts and asked what are you doing today?” “Well since its Monday I don’t have to teach any classes today so I guess Laura and I will go to the park later. Are you gonna have the psych evaluation today? Everybody’s convinced you forgotten the last two years of your life because you’ve been conditioned.” Sydney looks straight into Vaughn’s eyes and said I haven’t been conditioned, I think I have amnesia. I’ve already had two flashbacks, one of Laura and one of our marriage.”
After a moment of silence Sydney decided to leave for work. “Vaughn can you drive me to work” Sydney asked. He nodded, stood up then went to the car,
Sydney sat in silence wondering what had changed and what hadn’t. She sat there nervously not knowing what to expect. Vaughn pulled the car up to the CIA special ops centre. Syd kissed Vaughn goodbye but as she walked towards the building she relised many things had change but her love for Vaughn hadn’t.

It would be great if you could make the chapters a little longer and if you could put a little angst in- it seems as if she is perfectly fine and her family is perfectly fine when they can't be after what happened??

alright good news people!
i know i've tottally ditched this fic but i've decided to continue coz now i feel really bad for not finishing something i've started. i'm also on holidays for two weeks and i'm now working on mini chapter 12. all i have to do now is work up the strength to type this all up. new chapters will be posted up soon (as soon as i type them up) and the angst will begin in chapter 7 titled A Meeting with Lauren Reed
i kinda lost inspiration because alias wasn't on but it's back here in australia so i've got more ideas
i'm really sorry for ditching this fic but i want to finish this

A/N: This fic was suppose to be serious but some how in later chapter it becomes a humorous fic. thanks to mayvis who has given me a heap of ideas and this chapter is dedicated to fluffy a friend of ours.

Chapter 6: Welcome back
As soon as Sydney enters the room she was flagged down by Marshall Flinkman.

“Err hi” he said “I’m Marshall Flinkman”.

“Don’t worry I remember you, I heard you’re a father now. Congratulations “ Syd replied.

“Um thanks, by the way what do I call you? Do I call you Agent Vaughn, because you’re Sydney Bristow Vaughn but you don’t remember your marriage, I could call you Agent Bristow but your surnames Vaughn or how about Agent Bristow Vaughn but that’s too long” he babbled on.

“Marshall” Syd said with a smile “just call me what ever you feel comfortable with”.
Although she was used to Agent Bristow, she was quite happy with Agent Vaughn or Bristow Vaughn. Marshall continued to talk, practically biting off her left ear until Dixon noticed her.

“Ah Sydney, it’s so good to see you again” Dixon said.

Marshall finally realized he was babbling and left Syd with Dixon. Dixon was the director of the ops centre and felt the responsibility to show her around and made sure she knew the newest members of the agency. He even reintroduced her to the people she couldn’t remember. One person in particular brought back a flashback. That person was Agent James Whitford, who she once handled.

~~~~~FLASHBACK THREE~~~~~
In a dark forest in the middle of nowhere, stood James and Sydney. They broke into a small house stealing a suitcase then wiring the house with C4. From a distance, James presses the button detonating the C4. Moments later they were ambushed. Bullets were fired into the air. They were running as fast as they could fleeing the scene. Syd called for an early extraction, “oh lord” she cried as she hung up the phone. “What” he asked. “Your shot” she replied.

After talking with James for awhile, Dixon came and interrupted.

“Sorry to interrupt but there’s a meeting starting in a couple of minutes, oh and Syd can I have a word with you?”

“I’ll talk to you later” James said smiling “but it’s good seeing you again.”

“Sydney I know you’ve just gotten back but we need to get down to business. In the meeting you will be briefed with what happened in the last two years. After that we’ll run test to see if we can reverse the conditioning then you’ll go to Doctor Barnett.”

“Hey Dixon thanks but I don’t think I’ve been conditioned, I think I have amnesia and do I really have to see Barnett?”

”I still want some test done and after that Barnett, don’t even try getting out of it.”

Dixon knew Sydney well and seeing Dr Barnett wasn’t exactly her favourite thing to do. He stood there and watched as she ran off to a meeting.

Chapter 7: A meeting with Lauren Reed
When Sydney entered the conference room, all eyes were on her which was followed by a loud chorus of hi’s, hello’s, good to see you’s and nice to meet you’s. Weiss managed to have a quick conversation with Syd until the other agents stole her away, asking so many questions. Sydney was surprised by the amount of people being very supportive of her return to work.

On the other side of the room stood a blonde woman glaring at everybody at everybody talking to Sydney. The blonde woman’s arms were crossed. She stood there pouting until she caught Sydney’s eyes where her glare which was almost piercing.

Before Sydney could approach this woman, Dixon entered ordering everyone to take a seat.
Dixon began a very detailed speech about a new enemy called the Covenant.

”Agent James Whitford is a double agent for the CIA, Working for the covenant” he continued “As you know Sydney, you were once Agent Whitford’s handler but Lauren Reed has taken over that position.”

“So” Sydney thinks to herself “the blonde woman is Lauren Reed. What a strange woman.”
When the meeting was over, Lauren practically jumped out of her seat and ran out of the door but Sydney followed quickly.

“Lauren” Sydney calls

Lauren stops turns around and says “Yes” in a harsh tone.

“I really didn’t have a chance to introduce myself. I’m Sydney Bris-“I know who you are” she cuts in then walks away.

Moments later Sydney is approached by her parents. “Mum are you working for the CIA” Sydney asks.

“Yes I am honey but did I just see you speak with Lauren Reed.”

“Yeah I was but I think she hates me, did we have some sort of history together?”

“You could say that “Jack replies “I suggest you speak to Vaughn about her but the two of you weren’t exactly friends. We’ll see you later sweetheart.”

With that her parents were off. Sydney didn’t have time to process the in formation as she knew she had to get test done.

Chapter 8: Questions and Strange Answers
“Excuse me” A woman tapped Sydney on the shoulder “are you Agent Bris-Vau-Bris-Sydney”

“Yes I am” Syd replied

I’m Doctor Ellen Martin, I’d like to run a psychological analysis test on you”

Moments later, Syd began answering questions.

“Question 1. Which comes next in sequence?” Asks Dr Martin
“D” replies Syd.

“Question 14. What does this ink blot look like?”
“A butterfly”

“Question 29. 225, 196,144, What number is next in sequence?”
”121”

“Question 36. What is happening in this picture?”
“A father and son are fishing”

Question 50. O,T,T,F,F,S,S,E,N,T. What letter is next in sequence?”
“E”

After half an hour of questions, she thanks Dr Martin then leaves.

“Oh Lord” she grumbles to herself “Barnett’s next.” As she was walking she bumped into Dixon.

“Hey, how’s it going?” he asks

“Okay but can I ask you something”

“Syd, you can ask me anything”

“Well………”

“Spit it out”

“Lauren Reed”

“Ask me any thin but don’t ask me about her”

“Why”

“Maybe you should speak Vaughn. I’ll see you later Syd, bye”

“Bye” she called

Sydney reached for her mobile and punched in Vaughn’s number .

“Vaughn” he answered.

“Hey, it’s me, can I ask you something?”

“Yeah”

“I need to know-“

“Wait, Laura just threw up on me, can you ask me later. I’m kinda in a sticky situation”

“Syd giggled. Yeah I’ll ask later, Bye”

Chapter 9: Session with Barnett
“Hello Sydney, how are you today?” Dr Barnett greeted her as she walked in.

“Fine” Sydney replied “I don’t think I really need to see you.”

“I’ll decide if you really need to see me, now sit down,” Sydney obediently sits down.

“Now Sydney, Director Dixon has told me about your flashbacks and the fact that you think you have amnesia. Tell me about your flashbacks.’

“The first flashback that I got was at the airport, when I first saw Laura. We were in the nursery together when Vaughn enters. The second flashback I got was when Vaughn me back my ring. I was walking down the aisle, and then he slipped the ring on my finger. And I got my third flashback when I met Agent Whitford today, we were on a mission together and than he got shot.

“Good, good .Now when you refer to Vaughn, you mean husband right?” Dr Barnett said as she wrote in her folder.

“Yes my husband, Michael Vaughn”

“Speaking of him, tell me how you’re feeling with the fact that you’re married now?”

“I’m okay, Vaughn’s been so supportive and I know he loves me. I just can’t believe that I don’t remember our wedding or any other special moments we had together. I know he’s disappointed that I don’t remember our relationship in the last two years, but I’m dealing with it.”

“And how are you dealing with the fact that you heave a daughter now?”

“It’s hard. To me it deems like I all of a sudden go from single to married with a child. I have no parental skills, I don’t remember my pregnancy, I don’t remember giving birth and yet I’m the mother of this baby. She’s so small, it’s hard to believe she’s mine.”

“Tell me about what has changed and what hasn’t?”

“We’ll for starters I’m now married and have a child. Will and Francie are now out o f my life. My parents are married; my mum’s now working for the CIA. Vaughn’s now a French teacher. Dixon’s the director of the special ops centre, Will’s in witness protection, Francie’s gone, Marshall got married to Carrie and they had a kid. So basically everything in my life has changed.”

“We’ll I think we’ve made excellent progress.”

“Doctor Barnett “ Sydney asked “can you tell me about Lauren Reed?”

“Agent Bristow Vaughn, I think it’s best if you discuss Agent Reed with your husband before we discuss her in one of these sessions. You will be notified if another session is scheduled.”

Sydney gets up, leaves Dr Barnett’s office and returns to her desk, getting ready to go home.

“Hey Syd” Weiss says sneaking up behind her “heard you were stuck in one of Barnett’s sessions.”

“Yeah” she replied .

“Wanna lift home, Vaughn and I are gonna shoot a couple of hoops at your house later.”

“Yeah thanks”

10 minutes later they were in the car.

“Weiss can I ask you a question?”

“Shoot”

“Kay just don’t tell me to ask Vaughn, I need to know about Lauren Reed.”

“Oh Syd, don’t do this to me. I don’t think I should be the one to tell you this, speak to Vaughn about it first then you can ask me any thing you want.”

Weiss pulled in to Syd’s driveway.

“Damn it” Syd thought to herself, that’s the forth time I’ve been blown off and told to ask Vaughn.”

She knew something was up and she ran into the house to ask Vaughn.

why do I know she is not going to like the answer to this
