Christmas felt weird falling on a Tuesday this year, but whatever. What'd you guys get as gifts? Anything really great? Something really awful? I really didn't want anything this year since I had nothing to ask for.

Oh! My boyfriend asked me out on Christmas Eve, best present ever. Sorry about that, still a bit in shock from that.

That's funny, I bought myself a leather journal set while shopping for my parents as well in brown, but it looks all antiqueish and wooden. I don't count lotion and the rest of it since I end up giving it all away anyway. You couldn't fit another bookshelf into my room if you tried.

I don't actually...put books on it. I think all of the books I have at the moment are stacked in a laundry basket in my hallway. I layer paintings on it, so my stupid cats won't get into and track paw prints all across the paintings and bed covers, like they did before. When they evolve far enough to where they've got opposable thumbs and the skill to climb...I'm screwed.

I was freakin' shocked about the journal. It also looks kind of wooden...there's a design engraved in the front cover, and I couldn't bend the thing back to properly write in it if I tried. It's still pretty, and I <3 the smell of leather.

Lmao. The lotion was on sale. I check with a bunch of my friends in my region, and they all got the same thing. I was like, oh great, that's nice.
