What did you think of the songs. I was pretty amazed, they were better than than the last movie. Really...a little surprising. I didn't like the movie much, but what about you?
Revan Samarian - August 23, 2007 03:27 AM (GMT)
i liked the songs and the movie movie probably could have been abit better though
harry-potter - August 23, 2007 03:34 AM (GMT)

Revan Samarian - August 23, 2007 03:48 AM (GMT)

harry-potter - August 23, 2007 04:01 AM (GMT)

Revan Samarian - August 23, 2007 04:15 AM (GMT)
DUDE ITS LIKE WE THINK ALIKE
we should totally be bro's j/k lol
LadyStar - August 23, 2007 04:21 AM (GMT)
I like all the songs and they sure have improved from the previews movie. But the performance of "Bet on It" didn't do anything in the movie. It was like just a spot for Zac Efron to sing. At least he did a pretty good job with it.
nor_forty_four - August 23, 2007 04:25 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I found that song quite cheesy.
I would have to say that my favorite was "I Don't Dance". I find it hilarious that they were talking abou thow they couldn't dance when they were dancing.
harry-potter - August 23, 2007 04:31 AM (GMT)
I love Lucas's voice! I don't dance is second though. First I like Bet on it!!!
hermie_rox - August 23, 2007 05:05 AM (GMT)
And here I thought you didn't like HSM.
harry-potter - August 23, 2007 05:07 AM (GMT)
Yeah...I didn't like HSM, but I like HSM 2!
hermie_rox - August 23, 2007 05:14 AM (GMT)
harry-potter - August 23, 2007 05:18 AM (GMT)
Yeah..not the movie, the songs!
Witch_of_the_Silver _Moon - August 23, 2007 03:51 PM (GMT)
I wanted them to do a bit more towards the middle and the end. Like have more of Lucas's character, Ryan developing, and more Troy/Gabriella drama. My fav song though, was probbably. "I Gotta Go My Own way" But i also like "Bet on it" and 'I Don't Dance"
Loony_lovegood223 - August 23, 2007 06:06 PM (GMT)
I liked the first one better....

*~Nymphadora~* - August 23, 2007 10:39 PM (GMT)
I clicked the TV on and Zac was randomly singing in a blank field so the first thing that came into my mind was 'This sucks!'
I wouldn't sing in a field like that, musical or not!
Jaralee3 - August 24, 2007 01:06 AM (GMT)
i thought it was awful
i expected something great and was let down very much
i hated it all
harry-potter - August 24, 2007 01:42 AM (GMT)
I hated the movie very much! It was of no use, at all!
Terri - August 24, 2007 01:45 AM (GMT)
I didn't like that movie but I liked the I don't dance song it was funny! but the movie was a load of crap!
harry-potter - August 24, 2007 02:03 AM (GMT)
Very true indeed. I don't dance was funny, and so was Work this out. The lyrics, listen closely.
Terri - August 24, 2007 02:05 AM (GMT)
Well it's on again sometime this week maybe I'll rewatch it but it was just so stupid I think I'll just get the soundtrack.
harry-potter - August 24, 2007 02:08 AM (GMT)
Lol. Thats what I am thinking!

Lici - August 26, 2007 12:30 AM (GMT)

hahahaha. So true.
I only saw bits and pieces, because I had to go to work, but I definitely know what you're talking about. :]
nor_forty_four - August 31, 2007 12:54 PM (GMT)
haha, yeah, same thing with the first one when they were singing and telling troy that he couldn't sing in "Getcha Head in the Game." Funny stuff.
emmanuelle snape - September 1, 2007 10:13 AM (GMT)
See at least Lici agrees with me...the Disney channel is getting way over the top with their movies/ musicials...their not even good!

I agree! I used to love Disney channel in the 90s and early 2000 but now it sucks. =[
I LOATH High School Musical 1 and 2. I think the songs are cheesey. The actors are scary. And the script sucks. The dances are riddiculus (not in the good way) and EVERYONE is making such a big deal out of it.
Lets See, there's been a
High School Musical
High School Musical 2
High School Musical ON ICE
High School Musical on Broadway
High School Musical albums
High School Musical BOOKS
High School Musical ACTION FIGURES/DOLLS!
I am a bit unnerved here....
*~Nymphadora~* - September 4, 2007 12:49 AM (GMT)
There are only two sides! You love it, or hate it.
One of those who hate it!
I clicked the TV on, and on HSM2 Zac Efron was randomly singing in a blank field! WTH!?
Cade - September 4, 2007 04:30 AM (GMT)
Weeeell, I happen to like High School Musical 1 & 2.
It really sucks seeing Disney go downhill, but they do find something good every once in a while.
I never really liked the songs from HSM 1, but the plot and acting was pretty good. HSM 2, by far, was better than the first - even though the plot was almost identical and it got boring in parts. The songs and dancing have definitely improved though.
My favorites have go to be Gotta Go My Own Way, Work This Out, Bet On It, and the reprise of You Are The Music In Me.
And to Nymphadora, if you'd watch the entire movie, you'd understand why Troy was in the middle of the golf course singing. Gabriella had just broken up with him because he was being a jerk. He sees that and trys to go back to his normal ways as a kitchen chef instead of some assitant golf instructor with Italian shoes. The morning after, he joins his friends in the kitchens and Kelsi hands him the notice saying that employees were banned from performing at the talent show. Troy then realizes that Sharpay was trying to change Troy into something he wasn't so Gabriella would break up with him and Sharpay could keep him all to herself. Of course, once you figure all of this out, you'd get angry or frustrated, so Troy storms out of the kitchen and finds the first quiet place to sing. And because this is a musical, Troy starts to sing, in a way, telling people that no longer was he going to be the jerky promise-breaker, and that he intends to fix up the mess he created.

There cheesy pop songs do me nut in...and have they are always smiley and cheerful!! Come on, this is ridiculous...life doesn't always finish with a happy ending and you have problems through the way...those actors 's are scary
Lici - September 4, 2007 10:25 AM (GMT)
Elle, my partner in standing agaisnt the common foe. We must stick together and help these poor, poor brainwashed people.
emmanuelle snape - September 4, 2007 10:28 AM (GMT)
Its too late now...we can not save them...they've fallen to the HSM propaganda!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Cade - September 4, 2007 02:56 PM (GMT)
o.o
All right, completely ignore what I had to say - suuuuure.
Sure, it may seem cheesy to you, but it gets the message around to kids all over the world that life is great and all together, you can accomplish something.
And no, they're not always smiley and cheerful. If you listen to the lyrics, they actually mean something.
