Title: Teenage Pregnancy

Chocolat64 - August 22, 2007 03:32 AM (GMT)
Know somebody? Are you? Talk about it here.

LadyStar - August 22, 2007 04:59 AM (GMT)
I've never been pregnant but when I was in middle school/high school, many of my classmates were. I know gender is intriguing to everyone and what we see on the media doesn't help. But schools and parents should promote more 'safe gender'. If you are going to do it at an early age, just use protection to avoid it.

A child shouldn't have to raise another child. Also, a girls body isn't ready for pregnancy. Because of their development isn't complete, they can even die giving birth.

Foei - August 22, 2007 01:09 PM (GMT)
agree with Marie.

i don't know one of those. It is not good to get pregnant so early. i think it should be when you can earn money, get job or w/e but you have to be able to stand on your legs before.
that's it...i think

Sirius_Black - August 22, 2007 10:14 PM (GMT)
I actually have an old friend who got pregnent at the age of 16. It was so crazy when people found out.

I have seen several pregnent women(women, as in, not a little girl), and I don't know if anyone else has felt/seen this, but pregnent women just seems to glow. Like... I don't know how to describe further then that, but they just do.

But when I saw my friend, I didn't see that same glow. Just not right for someone that young to go into parenting.

harry-potter - August 22, 2007 10:59 PM (GMT)
Like Marie said, A child shouldn't have to raise another child. And, there is always un comfortable seeing someone who isn't even old enough, but is having a baby. That's just not right.

Sora Saridian - August 24, 2007 08:48 AM (GMT)
I dont really agree on teenage pregnancy but there are many pregnant teen's and harry some women at the age of teenager like 16 probably think there ready i dont really have a clue i have never seen a pregnant teenager at all, but most teens just want to have gender and dont really think of what could happen they dont think that they could get pregnant which is a big possibilty cause it happens so fast.

But why do you think more schools that have stuff like gender Ed say if your going to have gender have it safely use a condom but they dont really do that now do they i dont really believe in gender before marriage to tell you the truth but thats what is really causing teens to get pregnant these days they dont use a condom or think they gender if better saved for marriage and for the one you love.

i dont really know much on the subject but i know abit about it.

brokenzheart - August 24, 2007 11:05 AM (GMT)
I don't agree with teenage pregnancy.

I mean, its wrong to even do it in the first place. Won't you rather leave that to your husband? even if you'd say i'll marry my boyfriend eventually, how sure are you? Won't you even think that he just want to gain your trust and use you as a "ready girl" almost every day?

Worst thing is, doing it and even taking a video of it. Isn't it just sick?

I don't know a person who had teenage pregnancy. But, i heard that one of my friends had abortion.

Its not good to have babies at young age. I mean, you have studies to cope with and taking care of a baby inside of you? I know having a baby is a good thing, If you're married. But, if you're not, having a baby, isn't a good thing.

Imagine having to hide the ever growing stomach until the babies birth time. What would people even think...But still, we can't actually stop them if they get horny.. -_-

harry-potter - August 24, 2007 08:34 PM (GMT)
True. Very true, actually. They would be really confused about it. They need to cope with studies, and themselves and to add on a baby.

I was taking a walk today when I saw this girl, she was barely 17 or 18, and had a baby in hand, and she was pregnant again. I was just amazed, 2 kids and she is just 17/18.

I wish they put a rule on this teenage pregnancy thing. If you are pregnant before 21, then there will be some fine or something. Or whatever...

brokenzheart - August 25, 2007 06:05 PM (GMT)
Well.. My country has tis rule. If you're pregnant before you are 18(i think), and you gave birth to the baby, you'll have to go to the girl's home, Where normally for those people who did things against the law.

Thats where all the babies who got dumped in the rubbish bin or left under the staircases come from. People don't want to get caught.

harry-potter - August 25, 2007 06:21 PM (GMT)
That's rude. Dumping a baby, just like that. And what country are you from?

LadyStar - August 25, 2007 11:04 PM (GMT)
Haven't they heard of birth control?

harry-potter - August 26, 2007 12:18 AM (GMT)
I have. I have learnt a little about it myself.

Chocolat64 - August 26, 2007 03:04 PM (GMT)
I'll be honest, I'm on Birth Control. It's nice. haha. If I were to ever become pregnant, I'd die. I hate kids. haha. :]

I know plenty of teens that have had babies and are on the way to having more. My friend Brooke, who just graduated has 3 kids already, and one on the way. She's dating a 23 year old guy. It's horrible. She's only 18. It's her decision, however.

Parenting isn't meant to happen until 27-30. That's what I think.

:]

LadyStar - August 27, 2007 05:31 AM (GMT)
I took the pill for a while but I have bad memory when it comes to taking any kind of pill Dx Thank GOD I never got pregnant while I was with my ex. I'm not a children person. And I plan on having mine at 30 or something.

Chocolat64 - August 27, 2007 10:30 AM (GMT)
I never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever want to have children. Ever.

EVEREVEREVER.

:indifferent:

NEVER!

LadyStar - August 27, 2007 11:59 AM (GMT)
lol, I know I'm not ready. They aren't in my nearest future.

Chocolat64 - August 27, 2007 01:08 PM (GMT)
I've never liked kids. Even when I was one. They're too whiny. Last year, I was in Parenting class [why, I don't know], and we had to get the little Infant Simulators for a weekend?

It lasted one hour. I got a 2%. I ended up leaving it in my car all weekend. It woke me up SCREAMING its head off at 3:00 AM, and I flipped out. hahaha. I was like, throwing it in its little carrier trying to shut it off.

:( Boo baby.

I wonder what parenting class is like.. hmm.. My country don't have such classes.. I sooo wish i was in USA or UK studying.. Its much more fun! T_T

Sirius_Black - August 27, 2007 08:19 PM (GMT)
Okayyy. Note to self. No babies get near Britt.

I'm good with kids. Have to deal with them every sunday, as I'm incharge of the nursary. :) I'm not too experienced with handling infants, but I am able to gain little kids respects.

Probally cause I act like one. haha. When they sing to something like, Hannah Montana, I would sing along too.

But that probally wasn't something I should admit :P Oh bugger.

Sora Saridian - August 27, 2007 08:53 PM (GMT)
Like i said earlier im not i dont agree with teenage pregnancy but i think it could probably presure some girls some girls might think its nice to have a kid at the age of like 16 17 ect.

To be honest i suck with kids but im really good with babies XD i know it might be weird to most people that a 14 year old guy is good with babies i guess the only reason i am is cause, i have had to help raise my little sister when she was a baby i also had to help raise my nephew.

Raising a baby is not the easiest thing at all but you get used to it lol.

and sirius LOL thats funny

Chocolat64 - August 28, 2007 12:16 AM (GMT)
>_< Boo babies. haha. :]

Sora Saridian - August 28, 2007 12:31 AM (GMT)
God that post made Absolutly no sense what did you mean by 'Boo Babies?' lol

Chocolat64 - August 28, 2007 12:48 AM (GMT)
As in like:

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

You know. The typical chant when someone doesn't like something? Boo? Booooo babies. BOOO. :D

Terri - August 28, 2007 01:37 AM (GMT)
How can you guys hate kids?????? I love them and I am really good with them too but that is probably because I am the oldest of 11 the youngest being almost 2 but what ever I am off topic. Agreeing with teenage pregnancies um it all depends on the person the reason and if they are married I think. E.G I have a friend well that is not the way to put it my friends older sister had her first when she was 16 yes 16 and got married right after she found out she was pregnant and is fine she now is 24 and has 4 kids and I think there is another on the way and she is still with her husband. So it works for some people but not every one and if you are not married to someone I do not think you should get pregnant with your boyfriend's baby.

Sirius_Black - August 28, 2007 07:24 PM (GMT)
In countries where the life expectancy are much lower, people tend to go through hormones alot earlier then those of other places.

Survior's effect I suppose. Go through life quicker. So its possible for much younger girls to have the ability to be pregnant.

Dissonance - August 31, 2007 03:37 AM (GMT)
I forgot the darned name for it. enfantile...pregnancy something. It happened in many places. The baby was delivered and is healthy, given up for adoption.

I was there when we found out my brother's girlfriend, they were both 16/17 at the time, got pregnant. It was -alot- of heck - Kayleigh was born 3 months premature, and then the fight for her, and then her adoption. Now, my brother is trying for a baby with his fiance, and we found out a few days ago that Daisy (his fiance) is now pregnant.

Teenage pregnancy... I can't help but not really have an opinion on it. My friend got pregnant at 15 when she was raped at a party. In August she gave birth to Heaven, her beautiful little girl, and now she's a wonderful mother with a fantastically supportive boyfriend, and last time I spoke to her she was decorating Heaven's nursery. Teenagers, maybe, are not supposed to have children. But sometimes when they do, nonetheless, it turns out well. Sometimes it turns out bad.

People make mistakes, or get pregnant delibrately, or get hurt, and end up with child earlier than they should. In the end, the turnout can either be good or bad - and either way who are we to judge them for it? It is their life, their pregnancy, and their child, in the end. Whether they abort or keep, did it delibrately or accidentally, we shouldn't judge, simply be there to support them every step of the way no matter what they decide.

Simply my opinion.

But I'm never having children unless my biological clock goes off and demands I start cooking a lil' bun.

Chago - September 6, 2007 11:28 PM (GMT)
Kids are fun, they always love me for some reason, I really like to poke them when they're sleeping, lol

But 2 years ago a friend of mine died while delivering her baby.... she was 12 :indifferent:

The baby lived though, her parent inherited the baby I guess...

But sometimes children do t his to me :zumbridge:

QUOTE (Chocolat64 @ Aug 27 2007, 01:04 AM)
Parenting isn't meant to happen until 27-30. That's what I think.

THe reason why so many people think that now is becuase women want to go get degrees, and jobs, and because our life-expectancy is getting higher (although the US is getting lower) we think we have more time.
I want to have kids, but when im like 23 or something, I think I will be ready for it at that time (as long as I'm married). I don't want to be 50 when my child is going through its teenage years and needs someone to explain things to them, because I'm the youngest, my mum was 30 when she had me, and she is no help when she does try to help me get through tough times, because she simply does not know what it's like in this time and age. And it basically sucks.

and now to get back on topc >_<

teenage pregnancy isn't really something that we can judge unless we've been through it ourselves, plenty of people have been pregnant as a teenager and have worked it out, but there are also others who haven't. Everybody is different and everybody will cope with it differently. It's just the way it is.
If I got pregnant now, I wouldn't be able to handle it, I struggle anough as it is with school, let alone raising a child. But that doesn't mean that someone else won't be able to handle it. I know a girl who is my age (15) and she got pregnant last year. She didn't marry the guy, because they both knew that it mightn ot work out, but they are living with her parents, and they've got their lives sorted. He proposed the other day, but they're going to wait another couple of year before they get married.
I know that they can handle it, they have, and that was their decision.
So I really don't think anyone has the right to judge pregnant teenagers.

Chocolat64 - September 11, 2007 11:58 PM (GMT)
Statistically though, it's just not a good idea.

<_<

And I will say never. I am 100% positive I don't want a kid.

Sora Saridian - September 18, 2007 11:21 AM (GMT)
yeah sure who needs a kid when your going to be 80 years old and having 20 cats aint that right Chocolate64 LOL

j/k

I know some people want kids some dont its there decision alone if they want to have a child

Oliversgurl01 - September 30, 2007 02:50 PM (GMT)
ok wow tought subject. i'm not for it tottaly but if it happens and you didn't use protection then i think well i'm not sure...alot of my friends are pregnant infact my friend gave birth 3 nights ago to a cute baby boy. but i think you should use protection to keep from getting pregnant if you must do it. other wise well you know. if this isn't making any sense sorry just can't find the right words. i was so scared the first time my friend marie told me she was pregnant cause i knew her family would do anything to stop it from going through. when your a pregnant teenage your life changed a whole lot even if your in college as well doesn't amtter if your married or not. if your in school and so is the person who got you pregnant then one will have to drop out to take care of the child eventually cause its just to hard if you try to do school (high school especially) and take care of a baby.
