I took the veil over the arch way as the door to the 'other side' meaning death . I didnt quiet understand how sirius could have fallen 'through' it to be honest , i read the paragraphs over and over to try and understand , The way i took it was he fell down .

Anyway , i remember reading right at the end that lupin or dumbledore said something that made me think those voices harry heard from the other side of the veil were from the dead . As soon as sirius fell through maybe they couldnt get his body back because by pulling open the curtain i think they may have gone over .
