Title: Beyunion.
Kai-V - December 10, 2005 07:14 PM (GMT)
Any discussion that has to do with this project belongs in this topic.
First, a name.
I came up with :
it beygins or
it beygins, again. The logo for it could be

Project
Spirit,
Tribute/triumph,
Accomplishment,
Years (or any other fitting words ...)
And Kuznetsov thought of
Spirit Survival.
If you have any other idea, post it. Vote for the name you think is more accurate.
Kuznetsov - December 11, 2005 11:44 PM (GMT)
I can see how the first one works, however it isn't instantly recognisable. People may think 'it Dragoon gins...?' when viewing the logo, though I'm sure most would get it eventually...
I like the second one personaly. In length it could be something like: Project STAY: The Spirit; our Tribute of Accomplishments over the Years of Beyblade.
STAY could have 'Stay with Bey' Or something along those lines...
I don't think that much time should be spent with the name, as long as it's remorable, recognisable and relevant it shouldn't matter. All of them are fitting options so far.
I think that interactivity should be a main aim of this Sub site, if it isn't already.
Kai-V - December 12, 2005 12:25 PM (GMT)
I took Dragoon, but any other blade could be used. We could even make an animation, several blades could appear at that place.
If not, the 'Bey' text could be transformed to a bey, in an animation or just as special effect on the text.

Hmm, animation sounds good. I think it should have the text 'bey' somewhere whether it has different blades then the word or if one fades into the word then that both works.
As long as it's relatively simple it could have both multiple blades and the fading into the words.
It would definately be sucessful at being eye-catching, so, I'm for that idea.
Kai-V - December 13, 2005 08:35 PM (GMT)
I also thought of something related to hospitals, seeing as we will be trying to keep the passion alive ...
Liger - December 14, 2005 09:25 PM (GMT)
Maybe you could do STAY with Bey and have like a hospital sign..the red cross..over the with in the banner. I wish I had photoshop. Ummm...
You get the idea...I hope anyways hehe
Kai - December 16, 2005 12:44 AM (GMT)
Yeah,all these ideas sound great.
Liger's idea is good,if you make the banner I will definatley put it in my sig.
Kuznetsov - December 16, 2005 07:03 PM (GMT)
If it helps, I can put a banner with the logo for the site when it's created and chosen in my signature of the largest forum in the world. (Which has a good anime-base to it)
I'm curious to learn more about this hospital idea...
Kai-V - December 16, 2005 07:17 PM (GMT)
I like 'STAY with Bey'. If nobody has an objection to formulate, this will be the name. I will discuss with Dragoon X about the hospital thing, as he said he would make the layout.

Of course. If there is a rule against multiple images in members' signature, it will be my pleasure to arrange your banner so it respects it.
Liger - December 16, 2005 09:56 PM (GMT)
Wow I didn't think my idea would be carried on like it is. I feel so loved xD Yeah...I would put the banner in my sig too. I keep using old signatures from like years ago :D
Kuznetsov - December 21, 2005 10:51 PM (GMT)
I take it this means 'STAY with Bey' will be the name?
Also, what is this hospital theme actually about...

| Doctors arent gods. |
My religion teacher once came up to us, students, with the question "Is God important for you, and why ?". Of course, with all the luck I am stained with, he decided to ask me first. I answered "No. I prefer to live my life ignoring 'Them', to try and arrange, fix the world by my own, because the help from above is certainly not coming fast enough."
sam dephier - January 8, 2006 05:14 PM (GMT)
nice terminology, maybe you should try and apply the same thoughts for what your doing here, come up with something nice, and realise how biased your being.
Or is it just hope?
Or is it just determination?
I think this is futile and hopeless to resurect something that has been dieing for so long, but even hopeless has hope in it.

Why don't you just leave?
I'm pretty sure if your going to bad mouth what were trying to do no one is really going to care what you have to say.
Kai-V - January 8, 2006 09:25 PM (GMT)
sam dephier, hope itself sometimes is dying, but never, ever let it die.
[Starts installing rocks to 'trip' on the ban button]
More seriously though ...
Name is chosen, but ... I'm not sure about the acronym's constitution ...
Also, we need to make a list of most of the things that will be on the sub-site.
Sections such as :
. Online and offline stores
. Message boards and sites still up (and running)
. Events going on
. Rumors, annoucements/official News
And I just thought of doing something almost ... impossible : make some kind of map with the (estimated) amount of bladers for each area ...

A lot. But if you mean the site, read around this Rules, Comments, Locked topics section of this forum.
What is important and what should be focused on is not what happened in the past, but what we can make happen in the future here.
As the site will cover pretty much everything I think for the sub site's Online and offline stores section, every type of merchandice should be attempted to be added, particularly focusing on new releases.
For example around the European region I think the manga is up to around Volume 9. Amber Rei mentioned elsewhere Italy is currently waiting for Volume 10 to come out, and for the UK (online stores) volume 9 is out in February.
Kai - January 10, 2006 12:36 AM (GMT)
I have seen a couple of Volumes of the Manga here in the US,but I cant remember what volume it was up too.
Kai-Vs Ideas sound really good.
I really like the idea about the map too.
I cant really think of anything else for the Sub-Site exceot for Graphics and stuff.
Heavens.Cloud - January 30, 2006 05:09 PM (GMT)
Great ideas, the next step is to actually do them.
If you need any help just e-mail me.
Kuznetsov - February 12, 2006 06:32 PM (GMT)
Should there be some sort of checklist posted somewhere so things can be scheduled? or is something like this not needed...
About this map for estimate blader locations, would it be compiled by users like some sort of guestmap? or just added by site admins?
There could be pre-set estimates on some sort of key, then when the site re-opens, like a guestbook or instead of one, viewers can mark where they are so the estimates could be based on this if enough people use it.

This SoCal snowboarding website has this thing that when a member joins they put their location and they have this map. On the map it shows like the US I think or the world and has like little marker things where users are. It's pretty cool. Maybe something like this could be used.
Kuznetsov - February 17, 2006 12:51 PM (GMT)
Where is the site? I'd like to see the code...
Hmm, I've gotten into Flash since recently and have been working with animation.
If I improve with that program I could possibly look into designing some things for the sub site. Perhaps some flash-based games? though that could take a while, depends. Just thought it would help with the interaction aspect that keeps people interested and makes them feel more involved.

That sounds really cool Liger.
I would also like to see this.

Kai-V, are you still planning to add a directory of all remaining Beyblade sites on Project STAY...?
I have been thinking about this as of late and one day I decided to make a list just to see how many I could find, and it came to around 30 so far as a start.
You are most welcome to have this list if you think it would be better as a part of the project and I do not mind updating it over time.

Whoaaa....haven't been here in a while...or even posted before.
But A directiory would be pretty sweet.

I am currently mostly concentrating on getting everything ready in order to reopen the site itself. The subsite should follow shortly after.
Could you keep the list until then ?

I want to know if anybody else besides me is writing any Beyblade articles, and if anybody is, what they are writing about. Or, let me know the subjects of all the articles that you currently have, Kai-V. I do not want to write up a topic which somebody else might have already done.
Siliva2 - April 19, 2007 11:44 PM (GMT)
Wait...is BB Spirt gonna be reborn, or will it be a new site?

As far as I know, nobody is still writing articles for Beyblade Spirit besides you, and I have only ever received one other article, written by member Tala, about beyblading in the United Kingdom.

In a sense, yes and no. When Beyblade Spirit was closed, all files were lost or deleted. Therefore, I had start to start almost anew. Not much will be the same as it used to be, however it will still be called Beyblade Spirit.
There will be a subsite to the main site, which is what is discussed in this topic. It will focus mostly on keeping Beyblade 'alive'.
Siliva2 - April 20, 2007 09:31 PM (GMT)
Oh...okay, I get it now...
Now I don't feel like a noob.
I'll be happy to add anything I can.

I know I have said I would do these several times, but this time I really mean it.
Are there any Beyblade articles left I could do?
I may do one about 10 Balance Bistool, maybe zombies, upper attack customs, etc.
