When Beyblade Spirit flashes back, and while we wait, which message board should we use :
- These forums, one of the first we had since the site's opening. InvisionFree Board. Simpler to modify. Very old topics.
- The second or third message board? the site had. InvisionPower Board. OK to modify, more options. Hosted by CyberTiger Anime. More recent subjects overall.

I could also just delete all threads of one of the boards, begin anew.

It doesn't really matter to me. InvisionPower Board seems... kind of better I think. And deleting all topics and starting anew would be nice as well.

Don't get me wrong... The Past was fun, better than the Present. But the Past was really... well not that great in terms of our knowledge and stuff. A lot of my old posts were really kind of mindless sounding.

I say you should stick with the other fourms. More options, no ads. but if you have to pay to host them just stick with these.

My opinion may not mean much since I haven't been on BBS for as long as most here, but I'd say to go with IPB. I say this because I used to use invisionfree to host my forum but now that I'm using IPB it's so much easier to do things, and the hits that come from my forum contribute to my site since it's hosted under it. so yeah...

Well,actually now that I have looked at some of the stuff on the other board I'm kind of wanting to go back to it.

I agree with Guardian. While skimming through this board, it's doesn't seem to have the ability to revive. There alot of info here that is outdated and there's alot of things some of us said before we knew much that we'd rather forget. I think we need a fresh start.

I agree with GX. using the other forums will be better.

I guess it just depends on people's preferabilities. I personally think if the other board has more options that could be better for the future.

I suppose since some people wish to keep old topics that are outdated, they could be kept in an archives section like it was done in OtC from what I recall. I agree that they don't really have the ability to revive.

For whichever one is used, I think more sections should be added and think guests should be able to see the whole board otherwise it could make some reluctant to join.

I don't suggest everything should be wiped for the future forum. Some people don't take a second look at a forum which has zero posts in some sections. A new skin or just a new banner would possibly make some people feel it is a new start. Since it would look different. A new design to some makes them decide to post.

Paying could become a problem in future. Sticking with free forums is not a disadvantage since they have more than enough features even if it does mean a few advertisements.

I beleive this forum is fine, having a new forum created won't suddenly make bbs popular as it once was, sorry to say. Either this forum or the second would be fine IMO.

Edit : This board is doing well now, today 20 posts.

BBS will be back the way it was in time.

I will go with whatever everyone decides. I would perfer to just make a new board though.

If 'really awesome' means easily navigatable and not an annoyance to post at then I wouldn't mind a new forum skin personally...

Maybe it could have a dark blue theme to match the site, if the idea to have a new skin for the board goes ahead ofcourse...

These boards are pretty old. The other ones are nice. Which ever is easier, just get a new skin. This skin is SOOOO old.

Yeah, I mean, these are kind of like BBS' "colors" but it's really plain... A change would be nice.

Just a quick note:

I still have admin access to the old board(the one hosted in CyberTiger)... And nothing was actually deleted...

The place is still pretty much usable but totally useless if you ask me... Since MOVING again will only cause disrupt forum activity, I suggest you not to move... Infact just stay... If you want this place to still thrive, then the thought of moving shouldn't even cross your mind at this moment...

Staying at the old forums is a good idea, in my opinion. Kai-V, if there is anything I can do to help out, that is including website stuff, forum cleaning, etc. Let me know. I'm tired of sitting around being lazy. I want to help and I want to be able to represent a part of BBS.

I agree with Time, we should stay here, but make an Archives forum and archive all the old out of date posts.

And I like the Subliminal Blue skin, I think it would go really well.

If you want to do something for the site itself, avatars and signatures are always appreciated. Other than that, Flamin Kai and Kuznetsov have been writing a lot of reviews, so you might want to check with them what they have done, are doing, and will do.

Also, I am thinking about starting a project which would consist in organizing events, contests, other projects, etc. to keep Beyblade alive. On this 'sub-site', links to all those ideas would be listed, but there should be a part for all remaining fansites. However, if we only concentrate on the English community, this might not last long and we would not reach a wide 'audience'.

Yes, I could probably get the code for it, but it's alot of work to set it up. It's not worth it.

Kai-v: I think you will find skinning invisionfree forums a bit tougher than you think. But it's your choice, go for it if you think it's the best possible decision.

For the moment, the third one would be best, since it looks good but also that the text is easy to read.

We could use the current review topic of this forum as a directory of what has been done/what needs to be done for the site.
I could post that list you PMed me so if people wish to write any they will know what's available. I could also state which ones have pictures taken of them. I don't know if any other pictures exist so I will just state the ones I have taken.

I'm sure some countries have larger Bey communities than others, if people want to check to see if any still exist. Unless you mean making different language versions of the site...

As for the layout, I do like the colour scheme of the last one Max posted, however since I stated easy navigation is more preferable the third one is probably best of that list.
If they are added to a poll, the winning one could maybe be modified to make sure that the text is clear. That is, if Kai-V does not suceed in making one.

Sub-site would be a good idea, a forum skin that incorporates light blue colours would suit BBS nicely IMO. Forum shouldn't move. I've tried to bring back my site's message board anew and more than three-quarters of the members don't even post sadly.

If BBS is going to come back, it needs the same impact it once had, not one that nobody will recognise anymore.

Set a new ideal, set new aims, targets, to achieve the same purpose.

It needs something other sites don't have, something to make it stand out from the rest, that's why I like the idea of this sub site including things people can get involved in.

Kai-V, is the forum skin you are making going okay so far?

- Screenshots from a lot of episodes, screenshots not taken yet by anybody before.
- Reviews [Off The Chain is now dead ... ]
- Layout.
- Sub-site/project.

I also had an idea which, to stay humble, I think is not bad : for each character's profile, make a sound file of the correct way to say their name.

I made some recordings of some G Revolution episodes from my mp3 player. I could make some short audio files if needed, though I only recorded a few episodes and some of the quality isn't as good as it could be...

You could extend to character quotes in audio for the profiles aswell as correct name pronounciations, if the host has enough space...

Okay, so one of Max's layouts will be used? I remember you saying something about putting a poll up. If so, the winning one could have its text altered so it can be read easliy, unless you have already chosen to use the 3rd one. But I guess the site comes first.
