the bible says that to mark that the anti-christ is coming there will be lots of major earthquakes. ive done some research and there have been more major earthquakes in the past 10 years than the past 50. it also says that nation will be turned against nation. it could take a few decades for so many countries to get involved in war, but I think that after the troops pull out of iraq there is going to be alot more war. also it says that christains will be tortured and killed for there faith, while this has been happening for 2000 years its happening more every year.

Well, revalation, the last book in the bible, says that there will be a rapture after eveyone on the earth has heard about jesus. There are other things that must happen also though. Then ther will be 7 years of tribulation, after the anti-christ comes into power. "I" belive ther will be pre-trib rapture. The rapture is were jesus comes back and brings all the christians to heaven, thats why I'm a christian. Then the anti-christ will make you take the mark of the beast and if you don't you will either get shot on the spot or unless youy take the mark you won't be able to buy food so you will die evetually. Just read revalation, in your time were your bored. It's the coolest book in the bible, loaded with info on the end times, I urge you to read some of it, see what it's about.

Sorry.. I really don't belive in reglious stuff... you see these bad things that are happening is due to earths corse of nature and humans. Bad things will alsways happen I mean, looked what happened to the dinosaurs and such. Human nature is war and conflict and nature corse is... natures course. Oh, I've read Revelations many times before. It dosen't exactly say that the Rapture will happen when everyone has heard about Jesus Christ. It <you>does</you> say that only the Father (God the Father) knows the appointed time, though. If you ever get the chance, (speaking to all people reading this topic) read the Left Behind books. They explain the tribulation and Rapture in a pretty understandable way.

Earthquakes have always happened in the history of man... And with the technology of today, mass media has allowed it to look serious like heck... No need to get so worked up about it... Meh, no matter how long the Earth can last, it's bound to be destoryed. Though, it probably won't happen right now (maybe in like millions of years), but if the Earth does last that long, it'll just be comsumed by our natural source of heat, the sun. Once the sun implodes, Mercury, Venus, Earth and maybe Mars will be consumed.

But by the end of the world meaning end of the Human Race, then okay, that can happen sooner than a million years.

God said that he would finally destroy the Earth with fire, so the theory of the universe being consumed by the sun is probably true. God has always preformed mass events by natural occurences. (The flood, Elijah being brought into heaven)

I don't know... But if it's the end of the world, I'll be freaking pissed. Just think, all those times you crammed for tests and did your homework, only to find out that the world will end before you reach 18 years of age. That would totally suck. And then what would happen? Would the universe just exist with no earth? Will there be a new earth?

I was watching the discovery channel, I think... anyways they said that they predict that the human race will end in about 20 million years... the sun will implode in billions and billions of years after all its fuel is used up

I can agree with some of what you're saying Kiotzu. But some of the stories in the Bible aren't supposed to be taken literally, they're like little stories that teach lessons basically, and we're supposed to learn from them. Because, of course, it's hard to imagine some of the stories in the Bible ever being completely true.

But Planets are formed by an accumulation of debris and gas that orbit around each other until they form, eventually, a planet. So, there's probably million of planets put in the universe, that God never created. Who knows, maybe God only created Earth and the rest of the planets created themselves. It's hard to believe Earth is the only planet that has life on it... Enough water, enough air, our own atmosphere to protect us from UV rays... Perfect distance from the sun to recieve light and heat. And when they said God created the Earth in 7 days... It doesn't say how long those "days" actually were.

Anyways, that's just what I think of it. I have to sit on both sides of the fence here. In part I believe God made the Earth, yet there's lots of science behind it too. But I don't know if it can explain the Big Bang Theory. I hope I didn't get this off topic.

Big bang didn't create the universe. It's been prooved by them scientists. Don't remember how the whole story was, but the Big Bang haven't even existed.

OT: You can't proove that god exist(nor can you prove that you exist yourself), and the same for the stories in the bible. Some things are explainable, yes, but that doesn't mean that the bible is true. I don't believe in "god's punishment" or "satan's wrath". I believe in "Mankind's Own Eradication", since we will(most likely) nuke ourselves through a black hole sometime. So, the human race will be long gone before those 20 million years, IMO.

Each verse, and book's message has never changed. Only how it's said. they have never rewritten the bible, just different traslation. It's like saying, "whats happnin yo", versus "Hello, whats going on." Same message, different wording or "traslation." And I want you to find me 5 verses in the bible that contridict themselves.
