Title: Time to elect a justice for BICJ
Description: to replace the Pepestonian justice

Thracia - November 17, 2004 10:21 AM (GMT)
Nations of the Balkans,

As you know, Pepestonia ceased to exist a few weeks ago. As a result, there currently is one opening in the Balkan International Court of Justice.

Given the potentially important role this Court can play in the ongoing conflicts in our region, all nations that have signed the BICJ treaty (except for Thracia and Ancient Races which already have one justice in the BIJC each) are invited to nominate a justice so that we can have elections and fill the position of the third justice in the Court.

Byzantinople - November 17, 2004 08:47 PM (GMT)
Have I signed that, or was it before my time.
If I haven't, I want to.
If I have, I would like to nominate my Chief Justiciar Roberto Ciucci Reginelli for the position. If I can do that. He has a great history of service to this nation and a reputation for ruling with his mind, not his heart.

Thracia - November 17, 2004 11:28 PM (GMT)
No, Byzantinople has not signed the treaty yet.

You can do so by going to:
http://invisionfree.com/forums/Balkanic_Un...ndpost&p=483283

and posting a message indicating that Byzantinople signs the treaty.

Byzantinople - November 18, 2004 02:27 AM (GMT)
I have now. Here is the proof. PROOF! OK.

Byzantinople - November 19, 2004 02:41 PM (GMT)
No one else gonna try?

Thracia - November 20, 2004 01:39 AM (GMT)
OK, Thank you Byzantinople.

I assume you are going to name a justice from your country for the BICJ elections, right?

Byzantinople - November 23, 2004 07:59 PM (GMT)
QUOTE (Byzantinople @ Nov 17 2004, 08:47 PM)
Chief Justiciar Roberto Ciucci Reginelli

There you go : )

Temporary Paradiszia - November 23, 2004 11:36 PM (GMT)
Wait, wait. I want to do it aswell.

Thracia - November 24, 2004 11:19 AM (GMT)
Alright. If Paradiszia names a justice we will then have elections.

Byzantinople - December 3, 2004 08:53 PM (GMT)
Hello?

Bulgarska - December 3, 2004 11:18 PM (GMT)
i want to be nominated too what i have to do ?

Temporary Paradiszia - December 5, 2004 07:01 PM (GMT)
Paradiszia nominates Dr.Augstine Magaldi or the position. He has served as Supreme Justice of the High Imperial Court for 12 years, and before that he served as Minister of Justice for the last year of Emperor Pierre XI. He has studied International Law at Harvard, Oxford, and Vienna. He earned a Doctorate at every one. He was also the top election monitor for Parliament for the last 10 general elections in Paradiszia. He is higly qualified for the job.

Thracia - December 6, 2004 10:34 PM (GMT)
We thank Paradiszia for the nomination.

We now have two candidates:
  • Chief Justice Roberto Ciucci Reginelli from Byzantinople
  • Justice Dr.Augstine Magaldi from Paradiszia

Now, if Bulgarska names its own candidate we will have three candidtes for the election.

Bulgarska - December 6, 2004 11:33 PM (GMT)
Bulgarska sends his candidate he is Kire Pijanicata and he will represent our side

Thracia - December 6, 2004 11:40 PM (GMT)
Ok, great.

We can now start the elections.

The candidates are:
  • from Byzantinople: Chief Justice Roberto Ciucci Reginelli
  • from Paradiszia: Justice Dr. Augstine Magaldi
  • from Bulgarska: Kire Pijanicata

All nations that signed the the Court of Justice treaty are entitled to vote for one of the above candidates.

Voting starts now, in this thread, and it will end on December 17.

Bulgarska - December 6, 2004 11:43 PM (GMT)
But where is the poll ?

Thracia - December 6, 2004 11:58 PM (GMT)
There is NO poll.

You just have to write whom you choose here.

That is necesary, because only a few nations have signed the treaty and have the right to vote for a justice. But if I started a poll, every nation (maybe even visitors) could vote.

Bulgarska - December 7, 2004 01:12 AM (GMT)
ooo i see sorry

Temporary Paradiszia - December 8, 2004 10:31 PM (GMT)
Count my vote for the good doctor.

Bulgarska - December 9, 2004 12:09 AM (GMT)
Who is the doctor ?

The Bulgarite - December 9, 2004 08:54 PM (GMT)
QUOTE (Bulgarska @ Dec 9 2004, 03:09 AM)
Who is the doctor ?

The doctor is Dr. Augstine Magaldi from Paradiszia.

Temporary Paradiszia - December 9, 2004 10:44 PM (GMT)
Thank you.

Bulgarska - December 9, 2004 11:45 PM (GMT)
but can we vote for ourselfs ???

Thracia - December 12, 2004 01:44 AM (GMT)
Well, if we all vote for ourselves then each vote will cancel the others out.

What we need is the vote of nations other than the ones who nominated a justice.

Bulgarska - December 13, 2004 12:33 AM (GMT)
i agree i think that if we vote for ourselfs it will be stupid i mean the others must decide

The_Crimea - December 13, 2004 03:31 AM (GMT)
The Crimea who has just today signed the treaty, officialy votes for Dr. Augstine Magaldi of Paradiszia.

Thracia - December 13, 2004 11:32 PM (GMT)
I think Paradiszia has not yet signed the International Court of Justice treaty.

I ask Paradiszia to sign the treaty immediately, lest the votes its candidates recieved would be invalid.

Temporary Paradiszia - December 14, 2004 10:31 PM (GMT)
Oh, I thought you only had to be a member of the UBL. I will sign the BICJ right away.

Bulgarska - December 15, 2004 02:36 AM (GMT)
WOw this is a huge mistace i think that paradizsia must be eliminated ? heheeh

Byzantinople - December 16, 2004 08:40 PM (GMT)
It was a mistake that anyone could make.

Bulgarska - December 16, 2004 11:56 PM (GMT)
agree sorry for my behaviour :)

Thracia - December 17, 2004 11:14 AM (GMT)
Thracia votes for Roberto Ciucci Reginelli from Byzantinople

Today is the last day of elections.

Paradiszia has yet to sign the treaty. Unless it does so its candidate's votes will not count.

Thracia - December 19, 2004 12:38 PM (GMT)
Only three votes have been cast so far, two for a candidate whose status is still ambiguous.

The voting period has therefore been extended to December 31.

Byzantinople - December 23, 2004 03:11 AM (GMT)
Thank you Thracia. I will refrain from voting for my own candidate.

Temporary Paradiszia - December 24, 2004 04:23 PM (GMT)
I don't know where to sign, so I will do it here.

On this day, the National Parliament of the Holy Roman Catholic Empire of Paradiszia hereby officially signs and accepts all the laws and limitions in accordence to, and written by thereof the Balkans International Court of Justice.

Thracia - December 25, 2004 11:33 PM (GMT)
Ok, Thank you Paradiszia.

I will add your post to the Balkan International Court Treaty thread.

Thracia - January 1, 2005 07:01 PM (GMT)
Today is January 1st, and the voting period is over.

With the votes of Paradiszia and the Crimea, Dr. Augustine Magaldi from Paradiszia, appears to be the winner and, if there are no objections, will be the new justice in the Balkan International Court of Justice.

Temporary Paradiszia - January 2, 2005 03:41 AM (GMT)
Paradiszia is proud to have one of it's own on the bench of the high court of the region. Although the voting turn out was pathetic....

Thracia - January 3, 2005 11:17 AM (GMT)
Having heard no objections, we can now declare Dr. Augustine Magaldi from Paradiszia, the new member of the Balkan International Court of Justice.

The password for the BICJ will soon be sent to Paradiszia, and as soon as Ancient Races gets active again we will have a plenary meeting.

Byzantinople - January 7, 2005 02:49 AM (GMT)
Congrats, Paradiszia! :)
