Yes, that is indeed a good idea! Let those who are good at design come up with flag proposals and post them here. After the posting of three or four proposals, we could start a poll.

By the way, can we upload images in this forum?

Our government thinks it would be nice if we established a regional flag or some type of regional identity.

Nations of the Balkans!

Thracian designers have prepared a flag which our government proudly proposes as a candidate for our regional flag:



The Flag symbolises the mountains of the Balkan peninsula and the seas surrounding it. The white colour represents freedom and the red stripe the uneasy, boiling, some would say revolutionary, spirit of the Balkan peoples.

Thracian designers look forward to your comments.

East Moravia agrees with the proposal of the regional flag, we think it describes thje region and its nations in a perfect way

Emperor Alexios is pleased with the flag design. He thinks that the mountains in the center also represent our region's position as the gateway between Europe and Asia.

The reactions so far to the flag proposed by Thracia have been mainly positive.

However, we know that there many talented and skilled designers in other Balkan countries. Our government encourages such designers to come up with their own flag proposals.

After the posting of at least one more flag proposal we could vote through a poll and decide on an official regional flag.

The flag is fine, lets use it.

The question is: "how are we going to use it?"

Those nations that have their own web-sites can place their flag in their web-site. But can we have this flag as a permanent feature in this forum? Also, shall we add the flag in our regional map?

Montfortslavia would like to propose this flag for the regional emblem.
The description is:

The blue sky of The Balkans, which symbolizes peace and prosperity
The white star of peace that guides the history of our region
The green fertile lands of cooperation and hard work and,
The white band of freedom

Both are very impressive. I think I might have a slight preferance for Montfortslavia's proposed flag. A couple more entries from other Balkan nations wouldn't hurt though. I like Thracia's idea for a lot of choices and a poll to decide.

Shall be establish a pool with this two options or do we wait for another proposal and then create the poll ?
