The Democratic States of Leidestrad

Location: an island in the southern end of the Balkans, close to Panslavia and Mygrannystibia.
Language: english, local dialects in minor scale
Population: 67 million
Pecularities: mostly flat island with mountainous chains in the northern end of the island.

Brief History: The DS of Leidestrad as of today, were formed after the collapse of the former government Liberitas regime in the island. After a military intervention by several balkan nations, peace was achieved and the new government, under the name of Leidestrad started to take control on the island. Shortly after that, military forces abanoned the country.
Today Leidestrad is a fast growing economy, taking use of its strategic position as a southern gateway to the Balkans.
Leidestrad was the host for the Leidestrad Balkan Summit, where important agreements were reached such as the establichment of the regional website and the Balkan Peace Declaration.
