Well i dont know how this topic will go down, but we can at least try right? ^^

Whats your opinion about organised religion? are you part of one? just say your view, no flamming on others opinions please!

Proper conversation etiquit<sp> requires that one should not discuss Religion, Politics, or private life. So thusly, I will not comment. Well, not on a public forum anyway. If you feel you must know, I prefere a real-time two way conversation. AKA - AIM me or something.

I posted this thread because most forums have a place to discuss serious topics, i just wanted to see how people on this forum would react. i didnt mean to offend anyone in the least, i was just simply saying if you want your opinion to be heard say it here, maby even get an insite on other peoples religions. if you would rather not discuss this on a public forum then sure, i respect that. *shrugs* i just thought it might be helpful to someone...

Not many people mend to offend others, unfourtunatly religion is a very fragile subject. It's something many contries have gone to war over and many people have died for. It's my humble beleif that these things should not be discussed. Conflict always arises somewhere down the line.

Erm...So do we consider this topic officially closed, or what? Cuz I had a view I thought I mihgt share.

well it depends on what other people want to do, if the general opinion is that we shouldnt discuss this then i guess its closed, but its up to everyone i guess...

Well I see no problem with this thread, it's clearly marked Religion, and we're are just stating our views, as long as they arn't insulting to other people's views something like "Hey Christianity is stupid because god dosn't exsist"...as long as their's nothing like that, this is an okay topic, and if people are offended by religion they should avoid a topic that is call Religion, I think most people here have the common sense to think about that ^.^

((by the way I used that one, because I am Christian and no one can say I really meant it XD))

Faith is a Grea thing to have, but still, some people just wern't raised to have a faith in anything, it's not entirely their fault, they were taught NOT to accept any kind of god, so that's kinda mean, to those that won't let God or someone other Religious figure into their life, because to them, it's wrong, just like to us it's wrong not to let Jesus and God into your life, and it's wrong to worship Satan

im not of any organised religion. i was brought up to believe in the way of science (seeing as my dad is a science teacher) and for years i thought the possibility of a god was stupid and pathetic. but now i have a different view, i now respect others opinions and how they make up theyr own minds. i guess i have a kind of theory of my own, or little parts taken out of different religions. like reincarnation, i believe in something like that, not with the whole karma thing but i probably would say that the soul lives on even after death. i wouldnt say anything for sure but its something to believe in and thats better than nothing.

It's always nice to have a faith to fall back on, cause science isn't full proof either...

Actually, you can beleive science and God at the same time, but maybe that's just me, cause I love Science, I've even thought about studying physics...

I see nothin at all wrong with this topic as long as others don't put anyone down bout what religion they have...I myself am Catholic & proud. Everyone has the right to live the way they wish with or without religion.

Religion is a very sticky topic here in the Phil. Most of the people here are Catholics (that includes me ^_^)

The dilemma religious leaders are facing are actually these:

1.) The Vow of Celibacy- most priests here have been exposed of having wives and children much to the disgust of the church. They are having the endless debate whether to have the vow of Celibacy optional or not. In my opinion, The Vow of Celibacy should NOT be optional. It's not because I don't believe in human rights but that's why they entered priesthood. They are given a looong time to be isolated and to think about whether they really are ready to follow the doctrine.

2.) Homosexual Marriage- the church is firmly against this. Well... I haven't decided yet which side I'm on. Hmm....
