Title: anime before the manga?

ok this is kinda annoying...us needs to make up their minds.....kenshin..the anime came out before the mange...and yyh....the series of anime came out long before the manga was released....i personaly think the manga should be out before cause ....yeah...well vote and if ya have comments say em here

manga before. manga is kinda like a sketch of a series before it's perfected in anime. that's my thought.

Well... dunno...
Some anime came first, later manga released like Neon Genesis Evangelion, Macross (anime)- Macross 7 Trash (manga), fews.

watch the entier anime first, then read the manga, it fills in story gaps and adds various stories to it

it depends on the title at hand. Trigun's anime sucked because it was to crammed, they tried to put everything from the manga into it and it failed. The manga of bebop sucked because Bebop was perfect the way it was. I say do both and you'll end up happy.

Same reason as what alot of you said. Manga is like a sketch, but most of the time there is a lot more depth to it, that they can't bring to the anime.
Though some did do alright for having the anime come out first, i won't say names, but manga should just be there first anyway.

Yeah. I like the manga before the anime, Idunno. I just like manga more. Anyway, some anime I'm just biased against, like Ranma 1/2. The manga is great, and it was my first manga. But I absolutely HATED the anime. I really have no reason, other than it sucked. But anyhoo, I don't really cae if it's released first. I liked the anime of Trigun, but probably because I didn't know a manga existed when I saw it. I wish that they would have it in english, other than that 12-page preview thing in Animerica.
Now, I'm not saying that "anime sucks cause manga is like so much better" but I do enjoy manga more.
FLCL manga is real confusing, even more than the anime, if that is possible. Just felt like sayin' that.

you hate Ranma1/2 series? i'm quite suprised, since you said you loved the manga.
as for me, i don't mind which comes first.

For me, I think it's how it's drawn. The manga is really funny, but they don't look really cartoony when something happens. Well, 'cept for when Ranma kept eating the horrible Okanomiyaki sauce and his face kept falling off... :lol: hilarious stuff!

manga first,then anime cuz most of the time manga holds the story line better than the anime
