catrlcatrlgirl1 - August 26, 2003 12:41 AM (GMT)
ahahahahah

Jae Hoon - August 26, 2003 06:02 AM (GMT)
Actually a 100 posts a day isnt normal, usually an average poster averages 6 to 10 posts per day depending on the frequency of visits and how long they stay. Asking someone to post 100 a day is alot, especially on a small board such as this.

Indeed. For a forum this size, there isn't anything that you could reply to a hundred times per day. At any rate, some of us are busier than others; I for one have more than my fair share of homework and school assignments to take care of, but I still post when I have the time (not to mention the two other forums I'm apart of).

Another thought: having a posting minimun is an invitation to sacrifice post quality or integrity to sheer numbers--taking quantity over quality, instead of vice versa. This is just my opinion, but I think that it would be wiser to settle for a lower number of total posts in favor of smart, worthwhile posts (essentially the way it is now), instead of dozens, and even hundreds, of borderline spam per day. In fact, and once more, this is just my opinion, I think that it is unreasonable to have any sort of posting minimum expected of forum members. For many of us, it is just not realistic.

I also agree, I know when I have a double shift I not gonna wanna do anything but talk to my gf for a bit then go to bed, and I can and do get busy, I post when I see something I have a definate opinion on, setting a minimum is just not good, all you'll get in most threads is a "I agree" as a post.

No, it's not dead! It's thanks to people like DW, me, Cheryl, Bright, Sabin, and many others that this forum is NOT dead. Remember, you can't expect a forum with about five dailt posters to get much traffic.
