Night’s Amusement

I sit at a bar, my hair down long
After an evening, that had gone wrong
I was attacked by my very own prey
When I enjoyed, when I delayed
I should’ve struck right there and then
But I played with him again and again
Licking and nipping at his neck
Making him keep his needs in check
Then I pricked him a little with my fangs
Then from his mouth a yelp had sprang
He backed away and looked at my face
No longer admiring, not in my embrace
I snarled at him, he decided to fight
In the middle of the mist, in the middle of the night
He stepped forward and reaches out for me
I backed away quick so he couldn’t see
Then he tripped me with a piece of wood
I hit my head hard, doing all I could
But still I hit and stopped a moment
But he had my hair, my head bent
Pulling and shaking me around
Took out a knife, I kicked it to the ground
I wasn’t going to fall to him
A simple man, absolutely nothing
So I jumped up high, almost afloat
Kicked him back, and into a boat
I pick his body out of the water
Not even waiting to end him with slaughter
I drove in the knife that he planned for me
Laid down his body for all to see
The little wretch had ruined my hair
Had ruined my night, ruined my meal
I walked away and came to this place
Of easy pickups and easy taste
Soon enough a man comes over
Touches my hair and pulls me closer
I giggle and act as a drunken girl should
He pulls me to him feeling he could
His lips seek mine and he kisses my lips
Breathe is of ale, hands sticky on my hips
I grimace lightly but let him touch
Soon enough he’ll be my lunch
We move outside to a barn of hay
He lies on top of me as we play
I laugh and kiss him long and hard
He lifts my skirts, spreads my legs apart
I turn us over before he gets far
He can’t do much as we are
I laugh and giggle and lean down again
He reaches in front and pulls at strings
Starts to undo my bodice so tight
Begins to get frisky for a bit of a night
I kiss his neck and kiss his mouth
Smother him as I move south
I snicker softly as he feels my flesh
Then I bite and he commences to thresh
Under me his body shakes
Pushing and moving like snakes
I drink up hungry sufficing my thirst
Continuing my life as cursed
A man moves in with a bottle of ale
The drunk beneath moans on the bale
He walks by with, “You young kids.”
I continue to feast as much as forbids
I leave him there and look down
My dress is open, hay’s in my gown
I tighten the strings a little more
And get ready for my one last chore
I bite my wrist, leave my hair unfurled
Wipe the evidence of my world
I launch tears down my cheeks
And cry out at the happening, so bleak
Bite my own wrist, spread blood around
In the hay, his body, my gown
I scream a shriek the world can hear
Whimpering, tripping from his body in tears
The bartender comes, his customers too
The manager comes, looks where I came through
He holds me to him and comforts with strokes
Of my matted hair, more tears flow and I choke
I can’t breathe, I act my best
As a little whore whose seen such distress
They wrap my wrist and promise me safety
Ask me what happened, I tell a story
They chase this creature of horror and fright
As I fool them in the streetlamps light
I get a room in the hotel upstairs
They call a doctor to see how I fair
When all are away, I prepare the next show
Toss the sheets and open the window
I knocked over a bowl, scream when it breaks
Outside, men start to run for the gates
I go out through the window and onto the roof
Move to the other as I hear them find the proof
I snicker and laugh another day gone
I hide in my tomb and wait for the dawn
When the next night appears I’ll have my fun
I’ll spread the rumor through everyone
There is a monster that sucks out your essence
Yet unknown to them it is one of pretense
I am the monster, the creature of night
The one who will take you, the one you can’t fight
