Title: Favorite 16-Bit Squaresoft Game

PmaGuardian - August 14, 2003 06:40 PM (GMT)
So which 16-bit Square game do you think reigns supreme? I truly think it's a really hard decision for me, since I have such love for Super Mario RPG, Chrono Trigger, Seiken Densetsu 3, Final Fantasy 4, and Final Fantasy 6. They were all such good games... so well done and the peaks of their respected series.

But overall, I'd probably say Super Mario RPG is my favorite. Sure the plot was pretty cliché (to an extent), and it was way too easy and short.... but SMRPG has probably the best overall cast of characters in any game ever. Such praise may seem lofty... but seriously, everyone was SUCH a character in the game and they were all so perfect for their parts. And SMRPG's gameplay is still my favorite in an RPG (not counting Action-RPGs).

So yeah... Jonathan Jones, Jinx, the Axem Rangers, and Booster all own you.

Bahamut Lagoon... such a GREAT game. Make sure you check it out. There's a really nice rom patch out so you shouldn't have any trouble with it. :)
