Kokoro ni Seishin [Heart And Soul]
Drinking Blues....
A young man walked into the bar and headed straight towards the counter. His long trench coat gracefully blew in the breeze, leaving a soothing tingling feel to the people he passed by on his way. Heads turned to inspect the pretty yong man. His hair was crimson red. His set of eyes shimmering sapphire blue. Quite a contrast to the redness of his crown. He wore a black long trench coat, shiny black boots and leather black gloves to go with it. One might assumed him strange to be wearing such a mournful attire. As if he was just back from visiting the graveyard.
The young man sat down on a seat. Ignoring the cast of eyes that were put upon him. Ignoring the admiration of some who were in awe at his most handsome looks. Not to mention, pretty as well. It was kind of hard to describe him actually. But the truth was, he had definitely caught the attention of those in the bar.
“What will it be?” the bartender asked finally breaking the silence as he too was quite caught in the middle of the quiet awe.
“Sake,” his reply was short yet it was enough to trigger heartbeats of those who managed to caught hearing what he said.
The young man glanced back at his admirers without turning his head. A smirk was formed on his lips. Clearly, he was amused at the attention he was getting.
“Oi, oyaaji..!!” suddenly a voice chirped up.
In tumbled a bright bubbly young lady with red locks and also wearing a black attire. A western sort of dress to be exact. The people in the bar gasped at their resemblence. Both had red hair and both were in black! The young lady propped up beside him on the counter, completely ignoring his existence.
“Give me something strong!” she requested with a little demanding tone.
“Aye, demo, are you sure you can take it? You look quite young to be drinking,” the bartender replied, quite reluctant in fulfilling her request.
“None of your damn business,” the young lady pouted.
The bartender raised an eyebrow upon hearing her somewhat rude remarks. He placed a glass of sake for the young man before going about to prepare the drink the young lady requested. The young man took his glass and sipped the liqour slowly as if savouring every drop. Some of the people there wondered if they were both related somehow. But they acted as if they didn’t know each other. Actually, they acted as if one another didn’t even exist.
Interesting. Nice cliffhanger! I liked it alot.
