Is it me...or is this series REALLY over rated ( I will NOT post my reasons...do to the fact that this post will obviously make me enemies with some ppl)

Of course it's over rated. The series is absolute shit with no plot or anything. The only series that was good was the original Dragon Ball. Even after some of that it got stupid though. It's just a big fad like yu-gi-oh and pokemon and every other crappy show that kid's jump into.

Are you kidding me? There is no way its overrated, I love DBZ and always will. Its funny, it has action and it has likeable characters. Its everything it was intended to be, people just take it to seriously.

Funny? Hardly. Likable characters? Yes, we all love people who scream to much and look like thier constipated and change thier hair color. Who wouldn't? Action paked? Sure. If you like senseless fighting over and over...and over....and yet over again then ok, watch the show. It's boring, plotless, characterless, musicless, and emotionless. It's crap.

Yes it was funny and it did have alot of action, although alot of times it took awhile to get to it. It was definetly better than alot of other animes like Sailor Moon, Utena, Pokemon etc etc etc.

Atleast Sailor Moon had some decent looking girls in it and Pokemon (first generation) was alot better than DBZ by a long shot.

Lol not hardly, Pokemon has always sucked, and DBZ had some decent looking chicks in it but thats wasnt really the point to it. They were supposed to look like that in Sailor Moon and it still sucked.

I'm Goku....i like earth....I'm Freeza, I'm the strongest being ever, but then there are andriods, and Cell...and then some guy comes from Earth and Kills me by dying his Hair Yellow...and the story goes on and on....

ARGH...there is no Story...Someone shows up threatens to destroy the planet....Goku or some other person with there Yellow hair kills them *Exluding anything up till Freeza...but it was still bad...just no Yellow hair*....this happens over and over...

Well, I didn't care for Dragonball, but I like DBZ. What I find interesting about it is Vegeta's journey...how his character develops. He's totally evil at the beginning and by the end, he is at a much better place...at peace with himself (as much as he will ever be) and able to admit that Goku is the better fighter. There are things in the anime other than fighting if you look for them. Even Piccolo changes through
the course of the series.
I know Goku is the focus of the series and he's someone I've always had a problem with. I find him extremely selfish and not much of a husband or a father.
As annoying as she was, I felt sorry for Chichi.

noirchan...first I want to thank you for Giving a Reason...of course there are always interesting plot lines in every story (anything succesfull anyways) but I just beleive the plot on DBZ were never Deep enough...Cahrecter Development went from poor to okay...it was never Great though...it just seems they use the same story/plot line over and over...with a few tweaks in it

Yeah, I think it's somewhat overrated I liked it when I first started watching it but now I don't like it as much as I did. It was just dragged out way too much and had the repitive "OH MY GOD I'VE NEVER SEEN A POWER QUITE LIKE HIS (10 episodes later) Ha-ha I'm strongest!"
