This is a small little poem that i had to do my sophomore year in high school.... its bout Hiroshima (hopefully ya'll know bout it)
Hiroshima
Laughing & going on with your life
In the brightness & goodness of the sun.
That's what you've always done....
At least until the skies filled with planes & smoke.
Until the grounds were covered in death, blood,
Soldiers, hate, guns, bombs.
Until your life overflowed with fear, suffering, & deep sorrow.
Those days of laughing & being with the ones you loved, all safe &
sound...endedin 1945.
Yes, 1945 was when Hiroshima was consumbed by darkness.
