Ok, sorry for the over the top title...XD...but it kinda sums up what Im going to say...

As many of you already know, the forum is going to have a new look very soon...this is to coincide with the creation of the website...so, I'm making this thread to let you know about all the things that are happening and when they are happening...but let me assure you, just like any release date, they are subject to change...I will do my best to keep up with the dates, but realistically, they could change due to my busy TAFE schedule among other things...but anyway, here are the events...

1. New Style - With the banner contest concluded and our winner announced (refer to the thread to find out who), I will be making our new style that will coincide with the banner...Im hoping this will be revealed at the same time as the next event...

2. New Website - A first for AngelTide, this is the biggest change that we will go through...This is going to take the most work, but alot of the content is already decided and I expect that about 6 pages will be up for public viewing from November 1 2005...thats right people...15 days...I have a web host that should cater for us for the time being anyway...

3. All new awards ceremony - As its around the time when we planned to have another one anyway, I thought it would be nice to celebrate the new site with some awards...these will have mostly new categories, and the winners will be placed on the website for everyone to view, with the major award winners having banners as their award...These will commence the day the website is opened...

4. Help Wanted - Well this isnt an event but I thought I would place it here anyway...If this website is to take off, Im going to need your support...what I need is CONTENT!!! This does not have to include graphics...what you can supply are the following things...

-Graphics and Images (digital or otherwise)
-Stories, Poems or Miscellaneous Writings (including just your opinions on stuff)
-Bio's (This is for a bios page...it will only go up though if I have enough people do them...)
-Columns and Articles

The last is an ongoing thing...if you want to have a featured column on the site about something then you can...as long as you update it regularly then it will keep going...At the moment, topics are open so you can choose anything you want...

So yeah, thats the wrap up of whats happening...remember...everything should be ready for November 1 2005 so mark that down on your calendars!!!

People love writing about themselves. I'm sure if you come up with a framework for it, you'd have plenty of response for the bios.

As far as the other stuff goes, I don't do graphics (except my poor paint-made ava *hugs ava to her*), and until I get my college applications sent off I don't do writing except for school (and I doubt you'd want an essay on the differences between consiousness and unconsiousness from an epistemological perspective). That being said, I might be able to send in some older stuff I did, and I'll definatly be more free to contribute new stuff come January.
I might be interested in doing a column eventually, but again it'd have to wait.

If you need any type of articles for the site just ask and ill be there...

I can write articles. I love writing. I mostly write on gossip.. popculture.. music.. ranting.. movies... Is that fine or do you want something else?

Bios...what a great idea! And we can like, write them up monthly. Kinda like what they do in some magazines. Like..editorials and stuff..whatever it's called.

Shaydah, Im going to make a Bio's page on the site...

Anyway, here's the deal...you can make an article about whatever you like but they really should be all different...so say we have one about music, one about world events, and one about current angeltide events for example...at this stage I wont limit how many...

So, what you can do is write me something and send it to me via pm...basically, include a title and the article...dont make it too long though...I wont put a limit on for the moment until I see what you all do write...but yeah...

Also, about the bio's...Ill post up a format in a little while...

Finally, if anyone has any other ideas for content then you can PM me with those suggestions as well...

... that is until, we make an article for all the active members. xD So sad that would be. I'm not volunteering! This is a suggestion for something that could go along with the member bios. Plus, we can have a question and answer portion where the member of the month answers questions about his/herself. :)

I seriously need an anime column! ^.^ And I'll write other random articles and creative writing stuff as well, but don't expect anything from me until November. >.< I have to finish the evil college apps which I have been putting off. By the end of the month, they should be done though.

We do need a semi-template for bios though, to make everyone's life a lil bit easier. >.>

Like I said, if you want to write an article or something, THEN SEND ME IT!!! Even if you just send me a confirmation and title for it so I can put a placeholder on the site...that will do fine...We can work out the rest later...so Jill, November is fine, just so long as you get something to me...

As for the bio thing...I said I will post up a bio template later...I dont have time at the moment...but it will be up...

It almost sounds like the AT website might turn out to be a online Popculture magazine...... that would be neat-o.....

Oh and the AT website can have all my AC gifs...... That would let it have the largest collection on the web as far as I know.....

Ok, Ive noticed a few people have already sent in bios which is great to see. plus Ive got at least 2 columns up and running. so its starting to take shape very nicely.

Also, I might not have mentioned this, but Im adding a links page in. so if you have a website or something on the web that you would like to have linked from that page then just PM me those. that is an easy way to contribute, plus it advertises your site. can be a forum, a site, an FAQ, a review site you post at. whatever. however nothing inappropriate obviously.

Keep the content rolling in!

Finally, I have an official time that I will be setting all this up:

Peter, can you reserve a spot for me?! When can my article be due?! I plan on writing about "popculture" shit, like gossip, and basically take a comedic approach and slam celebrities and such. If possible. I will also mis-quote celebrities and conduct bogus interviews or write "a letter to..." them.

Im really happy with the response in terms of bios. So far I have 9 bios, which is a great turn out with 4 and a half days to go. Keep em coming people!

The real lame one is the animated button. :P Obviously this is for the forum. I haven't the slightest idea what you were going to use for the webpage so there's one in a billion chance I'll get the images right. I'll simply have to wait for the launch. For now, hope these forum buttons are good enough.

Anywho, some updates for everyone...

1. I think I might give you an idea of where Im at with the site...at the moment, Im probably about 35-40% done...which is about on track for Tuesday...

2. The amount of content Ive recieved is rather astounding...Ive got tons of bios and a few articles already, plus a few links and graphics as well...so at least we wont have nothing there when it goes up! XD

3. That doesnt mean that you cant still contribute stuff...PM me with ideas, articles, pics, whatever...especially if you have a website you want advertised...

4. On a final note...I CANT WAIT!!! XD

I'll send you a PM later regarding my article I wanna right...'cause as of right now, it'd be impossible to send in a "finished" one xD I kinda just need a splash page in the meantime..xD
