well to start what this club is all about, here is one of my sigs



this employs vegeta as the subject. the pictures i used got a little pixilated but i added a dark background and tried to blend it into the pics. add a little linkin park yrics and you got yourself a sig... waddaya think?

heh not bad tedi...though the font on the lyrics is barely readable...and you could have faded the words a tad...other than that a solid effort...ok now here is my latest sig...it is in graphics showcase but yeah...

its not my best effort since well...I WAS FRIKING BOARD!!!!! but when i was hooling around in the backround i got an idea that it looks like a viral infection


soooooo....i got kite from .hack//infection and put the name virul infection in it and my name


o it is kinda bad like the font but give me a few suggetions and i might do them

neo, you use the same style but i like them as they are effective, i like the lines and i think thats bricks in the background, but the transperancy is just right and the sig looks great. another fantastic artist we have

also, redeye, it's ok, but you need to get a colour scheme going, no offence but your colour is out of whack. you need to choose them wisly otherwise goodbye good sig. other than that it's a good idea bt you need to work on it

Redeye...no offence but there is something about your sigs that makes me cringe...I mean they are ok...Ill try and explain what Im talking about...take your latest for example...

this is easily your best effort yet...but your name is just so huge...if you look at a lot of good sigs the owners name is not big at all...in fact it is hardly noticable...yours just stands out too much for mine...also the green circles and read zoom thing on the white just kinda clashes imo...if you look all the sigs here are very easy to look at...yours just seems obtrusive as do all yours...no offence but a bit of transperency and a colour chart could go along way...on the plus side your lines are well placed and the pic in the corner is very well cropped....

Um...I did this in like 10 minutes cuz I was bored. xD Liek the lighting and the writing only. I was to lazy to mix it in with other pictures.

ya ill try less on my name(but my newest one i didnt care how it looked i was really board) but ill try to do that since well...THATS THE FIRST TIME I HERD SOMTHING LIKE THAT...it might help(actuly i use big letters to cover up some places i crewed up :D) XD

I am extremely bored so I decided to make a tutorial anyone can use on banners if they don't already know how to (which I'm sure most people do)... There are several other ways to do this but this is one way...

1. Create a new layer
2. Reset the colors by pressing "d"
3. Go to Filter->Render->Clouds
4. Go to Image->Adjustments->Auto Levels
5. Go to Image->Adjustments->Hue/Saturation
6. Click the Colorize checkbox
7. Slide the Hue bar until it gets to the color you want (mine is 221)
8. Slide the Saturation bar to whatever you want (mine is 33)
9. You can also edit the lightness but the whole point of steps 7-8 is to get it the color you want.
10. Create a new layer
11. Hit Ctrl+n and set the pixels to 5 width and 5 height
12. Make a new layer
13. Zoom to 1600%
14. Use the rectangular selection tool to make a 3x3 square
15. Subtract from the selection the 1 pixel in the center of the square
16. fill with white on the top layer
17. delete the background layer
18. Go to Edit->Define Pattern
19. Label it what you want and hit OK
20. Close that image and return to the main image
21. On the new layer, go to Edit->Fill
22. In the "Use" box select Pattern
23. In the "Custom Pattern" box select the pattern you just made
24. The mode should be normal and the opacity 100%
25. Preserve Transparency should not be selected
26. Double-Click on the layer in the Layer Panel
27. Layer Style should appear
28. Change the blend mode to either Overlay or Soft Light
29. You can change the opacity if you want
30. Now your finished :P!

gunblade your very good....but also try to get a better backround its good and all but what you have is mainly black and thats it withc makes it look.....boring after a while


but try to make a differant backround but other than that your doing well

I like the second out of the three. The last one is way to plain and the first is to hard for some of us to read the text. Not me, but I can see someone having trouble readin it.

I liked the 1st one...definately very professional looking...the 2nd one was ok...but it was just lacking something...and the last was just too big...it was huge...reduce the size for your next one...other than that keep up the good work...

i like i like gunblade 16. it's basic, small, not too complicated, easy to see and makes use of a good colour scheme. it's good keep up that good work.

on an entirly new matter here is my new banner. it will be my sig soon but i just wanna see what you guys think first. give me the harshest critizism cause it's the only way to make me get better

Nice Gundam...kinda plain but it works out well...but why is it a bmp???

tedi...this is my opinion but that isnt all that great...the sides are good...and the colours look ok together but they arent my fav colours by a long shot...also...you squashed the pic...you can crop it or resize it...and the lightning doesnt have the right effect that it should...other than that its ok...but not great...you have done better...

I'm not sure if many of the people in this club are actually that much active anymore though. A better idea would be to go down to the Graphics Showcase and make your own thread and post your skillz0rs within your own thread. I'll be sure to criti- er... praise your accomplishments ^_^, <33333

we can start with t3h basic skillz0rz or whatever you guys/gurls may want to call it. =P

depends on what program you're using and what part of the sig you want to create. ^^ as easy as it may seem... it's really a bit complex. x_X; but ph34r not! we have a bunch of artists around here to help you out. ^^ be like that guy from your sig... be a genius of hardwork. =P remember, we all started as n00bs. ^^

about your sig... the background was nice and fine. the fonts with your names doesn't fit(or so that's what I think. Please don't kill me. ;_;) Purple is a light color. Yellow is also a light color. It kinda hurts in the eye while reading it. You need something that would contradict it... contrast... If you really like the color yellow. Try putting a stroke around it. Let's say black stroke. If you're using photoshop, you can start of by ctrl+clicking the layer of the font and then go to edit>stroke, choose a color and thickness and there you go. :) It's a simple suggestion and I hope you won't take it against me. ^^

Another thing, the bubble somethingwhatever... the one with the quote.(gaara talking to lee) The font is kinda small. Other than that, it's nice and funneh. lawlz. XD

To be honest, I cant see all that much wrong with it...I do agree with aj on the text...chuck a stroke around it just to make it stand a bit more...nothing too thick though otherwise it will look a bit stupid...however, I dont think the bubble needs fixing...its perfectly readable...

For a first up effort, thats pretty damn good...but I think kt is right...post your stuff in the graphics showcase...thats where most of us put ours...

If this is still active, I wouldnt mind joining, my sig is one of the many I have made.
