Well, it looks like the contest is a GO!!! Hello and welcome to the first (and who knows, for how long) AT Art Challenge! If you've read the thread at the Advice Column, you'll probably have an idea what the hell I'm talking about here. But if not, then not to worry because if you try to understand my babblings here, you'll be fine. ;)


Just read the following rules and guidelines before you ask anything, ok?

Category Name/Descriptions (as you've probably noticed or not :P, I used Beatles songs for my category names because I'm cool like that, yo. xD)
Category 1: I Me Mine
In this category, there is a provided image that will be the only image/s used for the banner. This banner may not be animated and no other images may be used except the ones provided. However, the particapant is allowed to choose whatever background, he/she wishes to use.

Pick 2 out of the 3 images to blend together. *nods*
Image 1 Image 2 Image 3

Category 2: Free As A Bird
As the name suggests, this is the 'free' category. Any image may be used here, except the ones provided in #1. There is also no limit for no. of images used as long as they're not the same as the ones provided. This banner may also not be animated(we have a category for that -_-).

Category 3: Revolution
Like #2, this is also a 'free' category with the difference of being animated. Same rules as #2, with the exception of the latter.



R U L E S
• All banners will have a standard size of 500x120 pixels. Exceeding this size or going below it shall warrant disqualification.
• There is no limit for file size in any of the banners including the animated one. Please refrain from making it too elaborate.
• Participants are limited to a maximum of 4 submissions per category.
• A participant is entitled to abstain from entering certain categories. This, however, does not change the limit of maximum entries per category.
• Entries are not to be revealed by the participant to anyone under any circumstances. Non-compliance will lead to disqualification as well.
• Images may include game characters, anime, or real people or all at the same time as long as they're not obscene (ie: hentai, porn, etc.).
• Obscene words however are allowed as long as they adhere to the theme of the banner.
• Winners are determined by the top 3 most voted banner.



S U B M I S S I O N Requirements
• All entries are to be submitted to me, Elza through PMs.
• In your message, include the name of the category and below are your entries,hosted by yourself of course.
• You may continuously submit entries any time before the deadline.
• All entries are to be hosted by me once the voting commences.

Anyway, I'm sure people may be a little confuse about what sort of banners we're talking about. These banners are signature banners but since the makers cannot be revealed until after the voting, putting the name on the banner can only be done after the the awards. :P

How can I get my entry's to you? My FTP is down and I cant attach images to PM....atleast to my knowledge that is. I have 2 done so far and I have no way of sending them to you.... care to help me out here?

Well...Ive got 2 of mine in...and unfortunately due to the rules, I cant help you upload ya pics static...so yeah I dunno...

I'll be making some later this week (prolly around wednesday when homework is reduced to reading Gatsby)

Well...7 is good...some competition...unfortunately, I dont think mine are worthy enough to win this...I hope I do though...Id like to know that what I do is good enough...

Also, just a note...I noticed that you'll be hosting the banners for when the voting starts...I hope you're not using photobucket...cause although that'll be fine for the non animated banners, the animated ones WILL NOT FIT!!! And if you try to upload them they will look all screwy and crap...just a warning...

well this might be against the rules..... if you need somewhere to host them i can give u the ftp to my server and make a folder specifically for this contest. To make matters fair, you can use it the day of voting when the contest has ended. thatsonly if you need to tho

Hah, thanks for the concern people but I already asked someone for hosting. And er... it's fine. I already thought about this beforehand actually. Your animated banners won't suffer because I won't be using Photobucket for. Thanks for the offers though. In case things go well, I'll know who to come to. *nod*

well i just got my mini mac so ill be getting to work on an animation soon. I`ll make 1 or 2 animations when i get around to it, hopefully soon...... work and alll :(
