Polls - regardless of what they are about - are considered spam because, as I pointed out above, the posts in reply have no discussion, no reason to be in a section that is anything but spam.
On top of that, there's the fact that Trigun already has a topic in this section - if this should be part of the anime forum, it probably should have been under the Trigun topic.
