After all of the hype and build-up, the Irish Wolfhounds saved their best performance for the Guinness Invitational Tournament. The classy Irish side completely out-played the Aboriginals with the ball in hand- relying on their quick backline to create opportunities for big forwards such as Campion, Joynt, and Greenhill. Up 22-2 at halftime, the Irish powered home in the second, recording a 38-2 victory and taking out the inaugural Guinness Cup.

The win re-affirms Ireland's position as the second strongest nation in international league. Under tournament rules, the AA/TSI side will automatically qualify for the next Invitational- whilst all other spots will be up for grabs.
