The ESF Cup will be played in between normal ASRL rounds, with form and injuries (and tries) not counting.

It will be round-robin style, with every side playing every other side once. The team highest on the 'ladder' at the end wins.

Entry fee will be $75,000 per club which means there is $675,000 in it for the winner. First placed gets $475,000 of that. Remaining $200,000 goes to the second placed team.
