Cannings is a great talent and future rep player. You'll see his career bloom next season at Parramatta. He has been in great form for the Eagles.

Wing should be 5/8 and Sherwin should definately be halfback
chriswalkerbush - August 22, 2003 02:42 PM (GMT)
Sherwin is overrated. Give it to Orford or Gower, who can do more than just field kick. Gower defends like a hooker (surprisingly enough) and Orford can goal-kick. Both are equally good with the boot on field, and aren't soft.

G8 A Raid - August 22, 2003 10:05 PM (GMT)
Yeah I fully agree with you about that, Gower is a great defender, but at the same time his attack has improved greatly this season and Orford as well as being a goal kicker plays like a combination between Alfie and Kimmorley.
Sherwin does seem overated and deson't really do much, maybe because it is the fact that he plays for the Bulldogs that he gets noticed more, as for Kimmorley well he hasen't really proven himself this year.
sharpedo - August 23, 2003 08:09 AM (GMT)
Are you serious!!! You may think im being bias but, I believe Sherwin is a whole lot more than a good boot. He can take on the line, he has a great passing game and can defend. I dont think Orford should be there. I do like Gower and think he's a great player but i believe Sherwin is still better.
chriswalkerbush - August 23, 2003 02:04 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I will put it down to bias.
Orford and Gower both take on the line just as often as Sherwin, with Gower a far stronger player. As for passing, Orford has one of the best passing games in the league.
Sherwin will get it though. Anderson loves the Dogs almost as much as he loves Noddy.
