Title: International Friendlies

chriswalkerbush - March 23, 2005 03:19 PM (GMT)
With the World Cup set to take place at season's end, and a revolutionary twenty two side format to be used, now's the time to organise a few friendlies for your nation. I'll be uploading formguides for all but the major nations (Australia, NZ, England, and AATSI) in the next few minutes, and you're free to organise a few matches to improve your seeding.

Why? Because the higher you're ranked going into the tournament, the better the chance of you getting into a 'weaker' pool. The two lowest ranked nations will also be part of larger, six team pools for qualification.

Games will be run whenever both sides are in, and will not interfere with the ASRL season. I've got a separate database constructed specifically for international games. So, if you feel like a mid-week clash between France and England, have at it!

Also, the formguides in the Yahoo! group will be a guideline. Obviously there are other players you can look into, and in the case of the Pacific nations, remember that New Zealand has first claim on most players.

The list of teams is in Cups & Internationals. I don't think there's any Jewish teams. You've got a Jewish winger, though, in Joseph Goldstein.

Malta will gladly play a game against Germany.

Word of warning though....Hoppa is in the team so take that into consideration before you accept. :what:

Sure thing - but I wouldn't count your chickens quite yet :D

South Africa wouldn't mind playing Ireland, Wales, the USA, France, or mayhaps Scotland in the third game....

....as for the Kiwis - well, with Tonga and Australia on my schedule already, I may be crazy, but I'm not suicidal...

...then again, suicide is painless, it brings on many changes, and I can take or leave it as I please...

Drunken Phantom - March 25, 2005 04:09 AM (GMT)
Russia would like to take on any one who's keen i wouldnt mind taking on some pacific teams

douglasallen19 - March 25, 2005 04:27 AM (GMT)

rnd 1 Scotland
rnd 2 Wales
rnd 3 Ireland

all games away

oiler - March 28, 2005 01:01 AM (GMT)
The AA/TSI team would like to take on three nations to prepare for the next World Cup. While we have one of the most exciting sides in the cup, we do need to form the players into one cohesive unit.
We will take on any country, club or barbarian side.
AA/TSI will be happy to take on Greece in round one.
I'd like to take on Japan and Russia. Can these coaches confirm or reject my offer?

Roger

oiler - March 28, 2005 01:03 AM (GMT)
I'd like to play Japan in round two and Russia in round three.

MrCharisma - March 28, 2005 02:28 AM (GMT)

Magro,
I'd be happy to take on Englan instead of Russia in my third practice.
But, after the NSW and Bulldogs beatings, I'd understand if you were a little gunshy. :bang:
