Title: Next season's RSC Changes

Not sure if I understand this with regard to the 15 players that are free agents.
Does that mean that if ANY club in the ASRL - apart from another RSC team - wants to pick them one week and play them, they can?!
I presume too if, at the end of the season another club (again, not a RSC team) comes in for them, the club who found them can keep them if they at least match the original bid?

could your rsc team end up with 10 players during the season if some teams come along and take all your players
and how much notice will be given that they are going

I think that you can keppo your top 10 but after that if a other side wants theem in their top 10 or real side you lose them.
Will stop teams stock pilling talent in their RSC sides.
there are some players in the RSC that would be playing 2nd division or PL if they were allowed.

That's fair enough, but if I am reading it right - and I hope I aren't! - it could mean say one of my RSC players playing for six different teams over six rounds ... which is ridiculous.
Also, if my RSC team is doing well, what's there to stop me (Newcastle Fear) from 'borrowing' five or six players from the Hunter Bantams' next opponent, to give the Bantams more chance of winning?

No i do not think that is the case.
I believe that a club can only take them if they add them to their top 25.

Okay This is very interesting i have a few thoughts on peoples comments so far.
a)Maybe we should either apply a severence fee to the RSC club who first picks up the player to stop teams from recruiting them unless they are needed.
B) We could have a rule meaning a player recruited by another team must then actually take part in the game or return to the RSC team until needed again.
c) It would be ridiculous to have single players moving around every week so maybe have a first in best dressed policy where only one team can pull a player away from an RSC side. If they drop them back the promotion fee needn't be payed to promote them again but no other side can recruit the player.
d) The promoting team may be entitled to a right of second last bid at contract time as they have shown a commitment to the player (Assuming the RSC club who found them gets a first right of contract renewal).
e) If i have a wealth of in form players who are promoted to an underperforming team and lose form their form whilst there should i be entitled to shell out to put them back in form.
f) Finally will the price of RSC players be affected by this change meaning will we still have an upper limit of 215,000 on them?
Personally i think this idea has a lot of merit it probably needs a little clarification though.
Interesting. A lower case b with an end bracket will induce a sunglassed smiley. The things you find out by accident.

yeah you can keep your top 10, but you can't win many matches with only 10 men

With a number of teams being cut there will be an extensive player pool that you will be able to draw upon.

Exactly. Which is will it will be ridiculous if other teams can borrow 15 of your RSC players as and when they feel like it, without you having any say over the matter.
Presumably someone from the board can clarify this?

There will be strict rules in place to ensure that teams can only take from RSC squads when they are needed, and even then, with strict limitations and fees. It won't just be a free for all.
Cake or Death - March 4, 2005 09:16 PM (GMT)
And remember, calling up RSC players is never free - $30,000 per call-up is the current going rate...
...and I'm certain Chris would use Adam Smith economic theory to increase that fee if the market got wild and crazy :ouch:

Cool - that was my main concern that you could lose players left, right and centre.
