The players poll ranked him the second best winger in the NRL and he was not that far behind Tahu, he also just got a Kangaroo jersey, and the just don't hand them out.

The poll was done in the week before the AUS vs NZ test was played, google eyes and lockyer were not out at the time. Which goes to explianing why the Broncos doen so well.

Chris, going into the final round before it went underground, The Dally M Tally had Andrew Johns just in front of brett firman. so id say firman would have to win if the dally m is anything to go by. Id prefer to see slater win tho, hes an old norths Devils boy!

They don't generally go on Dally M points for rookie of the year, it's more of a judgement thing. Slater deserves it, the Dragons are full of overrated players who never perform.
