Nath you still the coach of England?
I was thinking maybe that 4 way competition we have tried to arrange so many times, with each team playing each other once and the top two to play for first place and the other two for third. (much like the RWC come to think of it)
And then maybe a collaboration of all the coaches or the winner of the competition whatever, to combine a british and Irish side to tour Australia at the end of the year let me know what ya think?
also need the irish and scottish coaches to respond.

Nah, i coach the might Irish.....Mark Fowler is the coach of the English team, and i can't remember who the coach of Scotland is.
I'm all for a four way comp, and also a british and irish lions team to take on the Aussies.
Bring it on :)

If England can ally with Wales, Ireland, and Scotland- can Australia ally with New Zealand and PNG? ;)

i vote no.
(i can't ever see Australia and and NZ teaming up in league (or any other sport either.))

I'd have to say no that to chris then they'd be even more unstoppable ;)
hey chris who coaches scotland?
chriswalkerbush - August 3, 2003 03:56 AM (GMT)
lol.
Maybe I'll vote 'no' to the match then? :P
I think Steve, but I'm not sure.

Ok then scrap the Australia game and lets just play the series as a warm up for it
Cometshark - August 4, 2003 06:46 AM (GMT)
Well lets organise it and go from there?
MarkF - August 4, 2003 07:53 AM (GMT)
I am the England coach - I think the idea of a four-team comp has some merit, but can't see much point in then picking a Great Britain team to tour Australia...mainly given we have the World Cup at the end of the season.
Cheers,

England (not Great Britian, I know) also play tests against Australia and New Zealand after the State of Origin. It's in the Representative Schedule.
