As with 2002/2003, the 2003 season will continue the ASRL's unique initiative of paying sides for TV games. The Bob Fulton Cup will this year be incorporated.

Friday night saw the first game of league on television since the 2002/2003 Grand Final, and it was a cracker. Surfers Paradise and Gold Coast battled out a thrilling 20-12 win to the Crusade. Saturday night was an all Division Two affair, as Port Moresby knocked out fellow island rivals, Suva. The final game of the weekend highlighted what is fast becoming the most intense rivalry in Premier League- as Manly again bashed their way to a 28-18 victory over North Sydney.

ROUND TWO
Round Two saw plenty of high quality action grace Aussie TV's, with sides from QLD, NT, NSW, and SA getting air time. Friday night's thriller between Gold Coast and Central set up a great weekend, which saw Sydney humbled, and Central Coast continue to make inroads against established Premier League sides.

ROUND THREE
Round 3 promised a lot, and saw Perth's first TV game in several months. Capetown make their Australian television debut for their clash against Newcastle, and the Central vs. Parramatta thriller will be a show-piece on Sunday afternoon.

ROUND FOUR
Round 4 saw plenty of big actions clashes on TV. Friday night's thriller saw North Sydney narrowly lose to the still undefeated Wellington Cougars, 20-14. Saturday night, viewers were treated to their second serving of SA league, and saw a lot of it as Capetown killed Hawkesbury 66-10. Sunday afternoon saw the unlikely combination of South Melbourne and Carnarvon- with South Melbourne winning under controversial circumstances- 22 to 16.

ROUND FIVE
As always, the ASRL TV games provided plenty of action as six quality sides sought to gain some early ascendency. Friday night saw the big clash between Central and Perth, whilst on Sunday viewers were treated to a thriller as the never-say-die Devils went down in a thriller to the CCF. Saturday night saw another Capetown thrashing, as the Ravens continue to dominate Division Two.

ROUND SIX
Another block-buster ASRL round had fans on the edge of their seats, as they were treated to a double header on Sunday. The Friday night clash saw Manly score a big win over the Central Phoenix, whilst Saturday night saw Brisbane down the in-form Capetown Ravens. In the double header, Central Coast downed Surfers Paradise, and Gold Coast won a tight clash with South Melbourne.

ROUND SEVEN
Round 7, overshadowed by Wednesday night's big clash between the Kangaroos and Wallabies, still delivered some world class league action. Friday night saw Wellington return to form with a big win over Central, whilst Central Coast dominated North Sydney on Sunday. Saturday evening was an all Sydney clash as Sydney made it two in a row with a 20-10 win over Hawkesbury.

ROUND EIGHT
Round Eight, like all that had gone before it, provided plenty of action for fans across the country. Friday night saw Gold Coast hammer North Sydney, but Saturday brought things back in an epic clash between Port Moresby and Sydney. Sunday's one point win by Central Coast over Darwin wrapped up a brilliant weekend of football.

ROUND NINE
Fans expecting some close fought games were disappointed this weekend, with all three games finishing with healthy winning margins. Gold Coast showcased plenty of flare in downing Darwin 28-12, whilst Capetown showed no mercy in beating Sydney 30-0 at Newlands. North Melbourne returned to form by hammering Manly 36-14, setting up some interesting weeks to come.

ROUND TEN
Round Ten, with the Islanders' cup mid-week, saw some fiery clashes in both Premier League and Division Two. Wellington's come from behind win over the undefeated Central Coast Falcons, 29-22, started a great weekend of football- which was backed up by Fairfield's 25-18 win over Hawkesbury on Saturday. Sunday afternoon saw North Melbourne upset Central 22-12, rounding off a great weekend of league.

ROUND ELEVEN
With the big matches between North QLD and South Queensland, and City and Country, taking place on Sunday afternoon, league fans in both states were only treated to one Premier League game and one Division Two game. Friday night saw Gold Coast hammer Central Coast 38-14, whilst Saturday's game produced an exciting eight all draw between the co-Division Two leaders.

ROUND TWELVE
State of Origin's opening fixture may have had the centre stage on Wednesday night, but there were still three very exciting games of league on the weekend. Friday night saw Gold Coast's impressive winning streak come to a halt at Wellington's hands in the last minute. The trend for thrillers continued with Capetown's tight win over Fairfield. Sunday's game was a anticlimax, with North Sydney breaking their Manly hoodoo with a 42-10 win over their Sydney rivals.

Round 13
The round kicked off as North Sydney's run of good form continued with a solid 21-12 victory over the Central Phoenix courtesy of some Jason Stevens' magic. Saturday night continued the trend for one sided affairs, as Hawkesbury hammere Tamworth City 50-0. Sunday returned to some good quality football, Carnarvon outlasting Perth 34-24 in a classic encounter.

Round 14
Friday night football saw Perth down the Central Coast Falcons 26-10 in a dominant display, whilst Sunday's clash ended in a nail-biting 20 all draw between Carnarvon and Manly as they both fight for position in the eight. Our Division Two feature game saw Redlands ammend their worrying slump after some Brett Finch magic lifted them to a 20-16 win over Coffs Harbour.

Round 15
Once again Gold Coast featured in a TV game, clashing with Perth in a rematch of their first ever Grand Final win. The game finished at 22 all in thrilling circumstances. Saturday night saw Brisbane, bouyed by new recruits, down Suva 22-14. Sunday afternoon saw a game finished in unforgotteble circumstances, with a flurry of points salvaging a 24-12 victory for the Falcons over Manly.

Round 16
It was again Gold Coast on the box come Friday, but the Origin depleted Crusade were humbled 22-8 by the visiting Cannons. Sunday afternoon showed the Carnarvon are definately contenders as they humbled Adelaide 38-6. The trend for thrashings on Saturdays continued, Brisbane getting up 44-12 over their Queensland rivals, Townsville.
