New Zealand have decided to name 3 Shadow players just incase a player has to pull out due to injury. Tana Umaga, Byron Kelleher and Jerry Seu Seu have been included into the squad. The New Zealandteam is taking this match seriosuly with one goal to destory PNG. Yet PNG could prove to be a tough customer if the Kiwis take them too lightly.

In all seriousness, how does Mehrtens not get starting five eighth? He leads PoM figurings, has more points than anyone, and is playing far better than Hohaia. If you're picking on form, he'd have to get a run on spot.

New Zealand have made some changes to their original squad they named earlier in the week. Lance Hohaia and Tonie Carroll have been dropped from the team of 17, with Merhtens moving to starting 5/8 and Byron Kelleher taking his bench spot. Tana Umaga comes in for Carroll on the bench.
