As a board member of the ASRL, I would like to remind all coaches that Abuse will NOT be tolorated.
The ASRL community is one that is fun, good natured and friendly. We are all here to have a good time and have fun with the sport of Rubgy League but at no point it abuse an acceptable form of communitcation within this forum or any other including MSN.
Fighting is all good here when its for fun, like people commenting on Me, Jelly, Roger the choker or Jd for example but when things go too far like with people having a go at Rodney, people need to draw a line and give people a moment to calm down.
I'd like to remind coaches that a rule of the ASRL is not to abuse other coachs and to keep its friendly. Check the ASRL user group if you would like to reconfirm this rule.
Particular members will be watched closely. Members will be banned if further developement occurs.

While I agree in principle with your comments, Magro, there are a couple of things that don't make sense to me.
"As a board member of the ASRL, I would like to remind all coaches that Abuse will NOT be tolorated."
If that's the case, why is there a section called 'Hall of Flame'? Why does the blurb that go with it say, "Want to bad-mouth, flame, or otherwise verbally wound your opposition? Do it here."?
I personally don't usually post in the Hall of Flame because I think it is a pointless section and has nothing to do with the game itself. However as there is a section there called that, I have no problem if people say whatever the hell they like in there.
"Fighting is all good here when its for fun, like people commenting on Me, Jelly, Roger the choker or Jd for example but when things go too far like with people having a go at Rodney, people need to draw a line and give people a moment to calm down."
I disagree with you here 100%. The abuse that is dished out to yourself, Jelly, Roger or JD (using your examples) has in the main been much worse, and for a much longer period, than that dished out to Rodney. Just because Rodney isn't prepared to take it - as is his right - doesn't make the abuse levelled at him any worse.
I have no problem with Rodney - or indeed ANY coach - but think that given that he is the reason that a new member looks like leaving, he really needs to be looking at exactly what his ASRL involvement is? I have no problem with him whinging about copping abuse, but he then can't apparently verbally threaten a new member, surely? And I trust he is one of the 'Particular members <that> will be watched closely'...

I am not about to post a big string of reasons about whether someone is capable of 'taking a flaming.' The hard fact about this topic is that someone has quit due to extended abuse (I'm told through msn) by another coach. This cannot and will not be tolerated. If someone feels the need to abuse a 'newbie' then they should to look elsewhere to reaffirm their own ego. I agree wholeheartedly with Magro. Stay away from new coaches. Abusing your friends is very different to abusing a complete stranger. The Hall of Flame you can choose not to look into (there is never anything relevant there). When someone is repeatedly attacking through msn, you have no option but block them and thus cutting off a possibly productive form of communication.

I'm not sure if you have read the hall of flame, but it is all fun and you can tell by the posts. I had sex with your Mum, U smell... it's all joking and in good humour. Members like Randell, Chris, DJMaC, Hoy and Myself know each other and are mates in real life, so we know it's usually all in fun and if it isn't, there is usually more to it other than ASRL.
Roger and Jelly for example have been around for almost the life of the ASRL, and I think they understand us enough not to take too much in offence unlike a new member like Rodney and Shaun who don't know that Randell is a shit stirrer, Chris is a bastard, I am a stupid Wog.... and can take things the different way that they were intended.
Either way, I wan to stress that I don't want to see any more coach abuse. Already Randell has been banned from the New Coaches room.
