Title: The UnderDogs
Description: The Cream of the UAF

DJMaC - July 5, 2003 06:20 AM (GMT)
FULLBACK: Kris Radlinski (Townsville Dolphins) This position has been under the most contention as the UAF's ranks fluctuate. Radlinski wins it in the end though. Unfortunately for Anthony Minichello, Radlinski's inclusion forces him out of the squad.

WINGERS: Mat Rogers (Manly Cannons) and Christian Cullen (Suva Suns) Both quality players with dominant roles at their respective clubs. Mat Rogers gets ahead of Adam MacDougall due to the fact he also provides the UnderDogs with another good goalkicking boot.

CENTRES: Tana Umaga (Coffs Harbour Wyrms) and Justin Hodges (Coffs Harbour Wyrms) New addition to the UAF ranks, Coffs Harbour provide a new and more potent centres combination.

FIVE EIGHTH: Carlos Spencer (Christchurch Carnage) Had to beat off (as in defeat you dirty pricks) Tommy Martyn as a choice who has shown some great recent form. Spencer is a reliable choice who will not fail to please.

HALFBACK: Stacey Jones (Manly Cannons) This choice is so obvious it may as well be the only choice available. Jones presents perfection in all things halfback.

PROPS: Danny Nutley (South Melbourne Devils) and Uri Novovich (South Melbourne Devils). These player make up the powerful Devils contribution to the team.

HOOKER: John Morris (Port Moresby Power) Provides a potent dummy half option.

SECOND ROWERS: David Lyons (Manly Cannons) and Steve Simpson (Port Moresby Power) These two will provide level heads and balance to the UnderDogs forward pack. Expect them to be the sides unsung heroes.

LOCK: Steve Menzies (Manly Cannons) A recent bout of good form has seen the Manly lock beat off Kevin Campion for the UnderDog lock position. His stalwart defense and relentless attack make him an obvious choice.

INTERCHANGE
14. Jason Cayless (Darwin Cyclones) Will come off the bench for short periods to cause some havoc.
15. Tom Bowman (Darwin Cyclones) This player will slot into the run-on side without weakening it at all.
16. Kevin Campion (Darwin Cyclones) Too good a player for the bench it is unfortunate that he has to be here and not running on.
17. Brett Finch (Redlands Rhinos) The Rhino's contribution come in the form of a very intimidating strike player.

EIGHTEENTH PLAYER: Anthony Minichello (Coffs Harbour Wyrms)

Player Count (inc. Minichello)

DARWIN CYCLONES: 3
MANLY CANNONS: 4
PORT MORESBY POWER: 2
CHRISTCHURCH CARNAGE: 1
REDLANDS RHINOS: 1
SOUTH MELBOURNE DEVILS: 2
SUVA SUNS: 1
COFFS HARBOUR WYRMS: 3
TOWNSVILLE DOLPHINS: 1

What about Quentin Pongia or Cliffy Lyons from the White Pointers?

G8 A Raid - July 22, 2003 10:31 AM (GMT)
What are Cliffy and Pongia's stats then?

chriswalkerbush - July 22, 2003 12:46 PM (GMT)
Both 8/8. Lyons is a five eighth, and Pongia is a 7/8 prop (Soz, I was using next year's stats for Pongia).

Jelly - July 23, 2003 02:42 AM (GMT)

Dragon Fanatic - July 23, 2003 09:01 AM (GMT)
No, i just thought you put your name down and your sweet to play. Sorry my bad, Can i join?

thewizard1o1 - July 23, 2003 01:15 PM (GMT)
Well you pretty much have 3 options,

1) Join the underdogs

2) Join S.E.X......

3) Start your own.

I would do either the first or the second make sure u talk to both alliances to see if the want to take teams in first....

Jelly - July 23, 2003 11:48 PM (GMT)
Yeah im unsure with the other members but i dont think we want any players but ill talk to Dave and see what he thinks and ill get bak to u mate.

Dragon Fanatic - July 24, 2003 07:00 AM (GMT)
Thanx Champ.

DJMaC - July 25, 2003 05:46 AM (GMT)
Hey,

We can't let you in sorry for one main reason. We already told Penrith they couldn't join because we have too many teams already. Letting you join would be displaying double standards.

Jelly: Not wanting any of his players should present them as an ideal option for the UAF. Players that even we don't want would make perfect UnderDogs.

Cometshark - August 15, 2003 07:35 AM (GMT)
I just took over Sth melbourne, and was just wondering are they still in UAF :drunk:

DJMaC - August 15, 2003 08:10 AM (GMT)
Um... Sth Melbourne haven't been kicked. When a new coach comes in the club they are assumed out. Therefore Nth Sydney were rushed in to fill their place in the Cup. Due to the unique nature of this problem, Sth Melbourne can become a tenth member of the UAF, pending blessing from the other UAF coaches.

Cometshark - August 15, 2003 11:16 PM (GMT)
Alright np, I'm not fussed either way, Im just trying to build up a better rivalry between Nth and Sth Melbourne
